Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a position, but the development of ideas is weak and often confusing. While you mention that global food availability is positive, the arguments focus heavily on 'businessmen investing in stocks' and 'GDP control,' which are not directly related to the core issue of consumer choice, food security, or environmental impact. The ideas are repetitive and lack depth, making it difficult for the reader to follow your reasoning. To improve, ensure your arguments directly address the implications of global food trade for the consumer and society, rather than focusing on abstract financial concepts that are not clearly explained.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing and awkward transitions. While you use cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'In addition,' they are often used mechanically or to connect ideas that do not logically follow one another. The referencing is sometimes ambiguous, making it hard to track the subject of your sentences. To improve, focus on ensuring that each sentence builds clearly upon the previous one and that your paragraph structure supports a single, clear argument rather than disjointed points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, with several instances of incorrect word choice or awkward collocations. For example, 'specify my rational view points' and 'meal items in the stock market' are not natural English expressions. There is a reliance on basic vocabulary, and the attempt to use more formal terms like 'GDP' or 'investor' is undermined by the lack of context or accurate usage. To improve, focus on learning common collocations related to trade and economics, and try to use a wider variety of descriptive words to express your ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Businessman are used to invest'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making the text difficult to parse. The range of structures is limited, and there is little evidence of complex sentence forms used accurately. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for basic punctuation and capitalization errors would also significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
