Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, the avaliabilty of buying food from produced supermarket, has become a debat between people who belive the is a good thing, and other who thing that this thing is a bad development.
Firstly, people who think that is a good development argue that by indicating to the facility on our daily life, like we just need to go to the supermarket and we will find everything we need, so that make us gain more time to do other things, like going to practice sport or do our work, so that make our life less busy.
Although the benifits they come due to this development, other people beleive that this thing has damaging results on our life, the major argue of thins wisdom is not knowing the source of the food come from, and we cannot see how this foor prepared, so we will always be confused about the quality of our food. Moreover, people believe that getting the food from his nature place like farms, give the food a special flavor, but when we get it from the supermarket, we just do not feel this emotion on our food.
In my opinion, getting the food from supermarket has significant benifits on our life, present life is too much fast and people are always busy. This development make daily life eisier and enable indiveduals to do other things without thinking about the source of their food.
In colclusion, the consequance of this development is too mush positive on modernlife, although gettin the food from the source has a better flavor.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of global food availability. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'gaining more time' is a valid point, but it is not expanded upon with specific examples or deeper analysis. Similarly, the negative points regarding food quality and 'flavor' are mentioned but remain underdeveloped. The position is clear throughout, but the essay would benefit from more detailed reasoning and concrete examples to reach a higher band. The response is balanced, but the arguments lack the depth required for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'so that make' or 'this thing'. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'Firstly', 'Although', and 'In conclusion', the overall progression of ideas is somewhat basic. The paragraphing is present but could be more effectively used to separate distinct arguments more clearly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'avaliabilty', 'debat', 'belive', 'benifits', 'eisier', and 'consequance', which occasionally impede readability. The student relies on simple, everyday language and struggles to use more sophisticated or precise vocabulary. Phrases like 'this thing' or 'this emotion' are vague and do not demonstrate the range required for a higher band. To improve, the student needs to focus on accurate spelling and expanding their range of topic-specific vocabulary related to global trade, food supply chains, and consumer habits.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people who belive the is a good thing'), incorrect sentence structures ('the major argue of thins wisdom is'), and awkward phrasing ('present life is too much fast'). While the student attempts some complex sentences, they are often marred by errors that make the meaning slightly difficult to follow. Punctuation is also inconsistent. The range of structures is limited, and the frequent errors in basic grammar prevent the text from achieving a higher score. More attention to sentence construction and proofreading is necessary.
