Student answer (Band 5.5)
In todays world it is a great convenience for consumers to buy food that is produced all over the world. People love to enjoy the food that is imported from other country.
In my view this is absolutely a positive development that we can have food in supermarket that is produced around the world and every country exports and imports food that is loved globally. For example; Pakistan imports apple from New Zealand and grapes from Afghanistan. I believe that this this great development helps people to experience and the food that is produced all over the world and its a great advantage for consumers too that they can buy food that is produced around the world.
In addition there are lot of benefits to have those healthy food that is healthy to eat.
For instance; Avocado makes our skin healthy and is beneficial for our rest of body too.
Similarly people enjoy having food to eat that is produced around the world. I think ill will be best if this positive development never ends and consumers and rest of can be in a great happiness. The country that contains supermarkets but does not contains options for people to buy food that is produced globally should start importing foods as every country depends upon filling the need of their people.
In the end I would to mention that this positive development should never stop so that consumers and rest of all stay in happiness and enjoy the food that is produced around the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position that the global availability of food is a positive development. Ideas are presented, such as the benefits of cultural exchange and health advantages of foods like avocados, but they are repetitive and lack deep extension or fully supported reasoning. For instance, the mention of Pakistan importing apples from New Zealand is relevant, but the arguments circle back to the same point about happiness and consumers enjoying food rather than exploring broader economic or environmental impacts. This puts the performance at a Band 6 level, where relevant ideas are present but remain somewhat under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, showing a basic overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is often repetitive, and cohesive devices are limited or misused. For example, sentences within the body paragraphs rely heavily on basic repetition rather than smooth linking words. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'rest of body' and 'rest of can be in a great happiness'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow is frequently disrupted by redundant phrasing, aligning the text closely with a Band 5 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to convey the basic meaning of the task, featuring common terms like 'convenience', 'consumers', 'supermarket', and 'imported'. However, the range is quite limited, and there is significant repetition of phrases such as 'food that is produced all over the world'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations, such as 'imports apple' (missing plural), 'beneficial for our rest of body', and 'ill will be best'. Because these errors and the restricted vocabulary range occasionally make the text repetitive and elementary, a Band 5 score is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'In todays world it is a great convenience for consumers to buy food that is produced all over the world.' However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text, featuring frequent errors such as missing apostrophes ('todays'), incorrect article usage ('imports apple', 'have those healthy food'), redundant phrasing ('this this great development'), and subject-verb agreement issues ('does not contains'). Complex structures are often faulty. While meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors places this response firmly at Band 5.
