In many countries nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world.

Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Export and inport business have changed the landcape of locally cultured food, where things no longer isolated and keep traveling globally, each showroom and wholeseller have multi nationality food and items. However, this has led to an arguement in society that some believe it has several benefits, while others more concerned about the negative sides.

Nowadays almost every developed country have showrooms and supermarket mega stores, people can buy everything under one roof because this saves the time and offer variety of food options. Furthermore, locally grown crops are not limited to locals only it travels all around the world, it boosts the economy and significantly increased the employment. Despite this, people can taste world wide manufactured food and add them in their day to day life if suit them.
