IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In many countries nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world.
Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The superstores of modern times are having processed food from all over the world in one place. For example, you can have frozen fish in all the 4 seasons, another example can be dragon fruit that is avaliable throughout the world these days.
This advancement in food avaliablity is known to be as a positive progress. There are many benefits assosicated with this developement. People from different countries can devour fruits of different countries. For example, mangos are known to be a special seasoned fruit for Pakistan or India that is now accessible in different other countries.
Another major advantage of this advancement will be for the import and export of the countries that will directly benefits the economical conditions of the countries. Moreover, the revenue from the stores will also have a positive impact of the economy.
In conclusion, this approach is highly appraised by the consumers as they can devour whatever they like, anywhere they choose.
