IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In many countries nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world.
Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is believed by some that big shops give the best produced food all over the world. Supermarket are using some steps to make food more sustainable. From my perspectives, it is a positive way to make food fresh for a long time.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why individuals can go to a supermarket and buy produced all over the world. First of all, supermarket provides the best produced food because they make the food by following some steps. For instance, they choose some best food, then then wash them after that they cut them in proper size and they will start to processing them in best way. After all that steps, they bring the product for customers in their shops.
On the other hand, small shops aren't follow the processing steps. So,their food are tasteless in some day. And also they do not sale their food properly. Thats why they do not make profit.
Another reason is that,customers also can buy all kinds of products in one shop, so they want to buy products in supermarket. Some products which aren't fresh for long time, if supermarket provides this kinds of produced food then customers will be definitely benefited. For example, Some sea fish like Tunna fish aren't available in some countries. Also they aren't fresh for long time. So, Supermarket provides this to processed food. That's why it is available all over the world.
To sum up, i strongly believe that this development will be definitely great positive impact for us in the future.
