Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this growing world many consumers rely on supermarkets to buy any kind of food, which grows in any corner of world. The huge majority of people contemplate as positive impact and indeed in my perspective it's very good to have different kind of exotic food which is a total positive development for the world.

There are so many number of reasons we do have a need to get a specific food, so instead of relying on online shopping or any other exporter shops companies, it's really good to head straight only at supermarkets and get your desired food. In my experience, I have an example of my own, where I struggled to complete my balanced diet for bodybuilding competition, there I need to consume many types of Vitamin and minerals. For that purpose there are some food which easily won't come by online or any other place except supermarkets. Getting variety of foods at supermarket is very helpful to all over the people who like to try or tasts as much types of foods which we can't travel all over to other countries to have it.

Most of the consumers influencing this as a bad impact on our developing country and the government is already started a mission to catch the people who are transporting the harmful food to the country, because it's leading to the severe health problems, such as dementia, blood infection and many more.

Over all in my opinion relying on the supermarket for the food is the best thing to see and it's eventually going to be a fruitful outcome for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by giving a clear personal opinion that the availability of global food in supermarkets is a positive development. The writer introduces relevant ideas, such as dietary needs for bodybuilding and access to variety without expensive international travel. However, the ideas are somewhat under-developed and lack the depth expected for higher bands. For instance, the counter-argument regarding harmful food and government crackdowns in paragraph three is abrupt, slightly confusing in its phrasing ('Most of the consumers influencing this as a bad impact'), and not fully integrated into a balanced discussion. The position is stated, but the supporting arguments tend to rely on personal anecdote rather than broader societal exploration, placing this response securely in the Band 6 territory.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introductory stance, body paragraphs, and a concluding sentence. Paragraphing is attempted, though the division could be managed better, as the second paragraph attempts to handle multiple distinct ideas including personal bodybuilding examples and the general benefits of variety. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes mechanical or awkward, such as 'For that purpose there are some food which easily won't come by' and 'Over all in my opinion'. Logical progression between sentences occasionally falters, making the transitions feel slightly abrupt. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly with pronouns and conjunctions linking contrasting thoughts.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases like 'exotic food', 'balanced diet', and 'fruitful outcome'. However, there are frequent inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form throughout the text. Examples include 'The huge majority of people contemplate as positive impact' instead of 'consider this a positive impact', 'so many number of reasons', and 'tasts' instead of 'taste'. Spelling and morphological issues, such as 'Over all', appear alongside awkward phrasing like 'consumers influencing this as a bad impact'. While communication is generally maintained, these lexical slips restrict the score to a Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambition with relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb tense, article usage, and prepositions, such as 'food, which grows in any corner of world', 'in my experience, I have an example of my own, where I struggled', and 'the government is already started a mission'. Furthermore, sentence boundary issues and awkward punctuation detract from the fluency of the writing. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the response from reaching Band 6.0.
