Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 250 words, stopping abruptly at only 113 words and cutting off mid-sentence in the second body paragraph. Because the length requirement is not met, the task cannot be fully addressed, and the ideas are severely under-developed. While the writer attempts to state a position ('positive development') and provides a brief example regarding tasting American potatoes in Tunisia, the severe brevity restricts the depth of the argument. Consequently, this performance falls into the lower bands due to the incomplete nature of the task response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text exhibits some basic organisation, opening with an introductory statement and transitioning into body paragraphs using sequencing phrases such as 'The chief reason for holding my view is that' and 'Another reason for my position is that'. However, paragraphing is disrupted by the incomplete second body paragraph, which cuts off prematurely. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and repetitively ('produced all over the world'). While there is a discernible logical plan, the lack of full development and the abrupt ending limit the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, such as 'prespective' instead of 'perspective', 'positve' instead of 'positive', 'eassy' instead of 'essay', 'peaple' instead of 'people', 'requiremnt' instead of 'requirement', and 'inhence' instead of 'enhance'. The writer attempts some less common phrases like 'financial requirement', but inaccuracies and frequent misspellings impede smooth reading and indicate a limited control over lexical items.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying primarily on simple sentences and basic complex forms connected by conjunctions. There are several grammatical and mechanical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the world become') and missing articles or capitalization ('a person who live in tunisia'). Punctuation is also faulty, notably with spaces before commas (e.g., 'For instance ,'). Due to the frequent errors and the truncated nature of the writing, grammatical control is strained.
