Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive impacts of global food availability in supermarkets, such as convenience, time-saving, and economic growth through trade. A clear position is stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion ("as per my openion this is the positive impect on our society"). However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, with points regarding time-saving and product variety reiterated across the body paragraphs without deep expansion. Examples are drawn from general knowledge and a personal anecdote ("My freind make a store in our area"), but lack specific detail. According to the descriptors, the task is addressed, but ideas remain under-developed and rely on generalisations, fitting the Band 5 criteria well.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay lacks proper paragraphing conventions, appearing mostly as a fragmented wall of text with irregular spacing and a run-on structure. While an overall progression is attempted—moving from an introduction to benefits like time and money savings, and concluding with economic impact—the logical flow is frequently disrupted by abrupt transitions and a lack of cohesive devices. Referencing is often unclear, such as pronoun use in phrases like "when someone bring to own countries mostly chance to product expire". Paragraphing is not used sufficiently or appropriately to structure the argument, aligning closely with the Band 4 descriptors for cohesion and paragraphing.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently reusing terms like "foods", "store", "countries", and "products". There are numerous word choice and word formation errors throughout the text, such as "openion" instead of opinion, "impect" instead of impact, "plasces" instead of places, and "easyily can managed". Less common vocabulary items are attempted but used inaccurately, such as "struggle countries" or "bussinessman people trade". These errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and reflect a limited range of vocabulary, corresponding to the Band 4 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentences, but grammatical control is weak throughout the response. There are frequent errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure, such as "customer could go to a cash and carry stores" and "when they trade they chose good product for own customer". Punctuation is also problematic, with missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences and erratic comma placement. The high frequency of basic and complex structural errors causes strain and difficulty for the reader, placing this submission firmly in Band 4.
