IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In many countries nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world.

Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's era, majority of consumers are willing to buy food from market which are produced all over the globe and most of the people are go to a supermarket to buy their daily requirements. The development make people to get any things from the world to their hands.

The development makes the transportation of foods very easy to all part of the world without being spoiled. In massive amount of things are there in a supermarket which is moslty consumed by consumers in daily life. They found almost all things under one roof. For instance, Bhatbhateni supermarket in the Kathmandu have goods from kitchen to bedrooms material. This makes people to find the goods of their needs very easy and convinent.

Beside this every thing in the world have both side. Although it have many positive development, but there is also some negative development. Like the various artifical foods which are produced in factories rather than in the farm which impact consumers health badly. As like, plastic rice which is only made to show, many supermarketers and international food suppliers, supplies these rice to the general people to eat.

In sum up, development is not negative or positive its totally based on peoples how they used it. So, as in my mind it is positive development which helps to make life easier and convinent to consume foods whic are produced other side of the globe make individual feel the taste of another country as well. development makes an individual to take a bite like a cream in mouth.
