Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive developments of having globally produced food in supermarkets. The writer presents a clear position from the beginning, stating, 'I strongly believe with this view point because customer gets the varities in choices and benefits to those bodyes how supply.' Main ideas are presented, such as variety for consumers and economic benefits for supplying countries. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, with over-generalised explanations. For instance, the discussion on exporting countries relies on broad statements like 'many countries receive profities from exprotes.' While the task is adequately addressed, the support lacks deep elaboration, placing this response firmly in Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall awareness of structure. However, logical progression is hindered by frequent mechanical or misused cohesive devices, such as 'Hence this could be a better development' and 'To it communite would experences buget friendly shopping.' Paragraphing is used to separate ideas, but referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, the abrupt shift in the second paragraph regarding 'The superdepartment.' While the text possesses some logical organisation, the overall progression is frequently disrupted by cohesion issues and referencing errors, aligning with Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate to convey the basic message. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'reasing' for raising, 'discusion' for discussion, 'ampung' for among, 'varities' for varieties, 'bodyes' for bodies, 'larg' for large, 'priceses' for prices, 'communite' for community, 'experences' for experience, 'buget' for budget, 'neares' for nearest, 'productes' for products, 'profities' for profits, 'exprotes' for exports, 'globaliisation' for globalisation, 'hug' for huge, 'shopes' for shops, 'vagetables' for vegetables, 'introdution' for introduction, 'conclution' for conclusion, and 'rececives' for receives. These numerous errors cause significant difficulty for the reader and reflect a limited lexical control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in word formation, preposition use, and subject-verb agreement. Examples include 'There is a reasing discusion amongs the various nations that supermarket is a palce', 'customer gets the varities', and 'many Individual countries get income by introdution of globalisation'. Article usage is also frequently omitted or incorrect, such as 'supermarket is a palce where people can have any food item.' These frequent errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar score at Band 4.
