Student answer (Band 5.0)
food produced all over the world like rice, wheat, potato, tomato, apple, mango etc. are produced all over the world and they all produced in much more quantity for sel.ing all over world because food is one thing that are made for suppliying all over the world. so there are two main perspective that positive or negative.
in one hand, there are so many positive resions of supplying food product all over the world because many countries like Nepal,Pakistan,Srilanka and many country from africa have food problem that many times the weather conditions not match to the condition of these contries and that's why shortage of food happens in these countries so many countries like India,Chin help him with all the food supple and many more as well as the food help to mantain relaionship between two countries.
another hand, there are so many resions not supplying food product all over world because many countries like USA doing very bad behaviour to many countries like when india needs help when india hve a shortage of wheat then USA helped india in a way that they give very poor quality of wheat to india and after that so many indians geting dead afer consuing that type of wheat.
buying food produced all over the world is best for all becuase we have opportunity to buy best quality of food and this is best thing to do.
in conclusion, from my perspective there are both positive and negative resions happen so this is depend on the situation thatt happen in countries but buy food produced all over the world is best way to consume best quality of food that produced all around the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially, presenting both positive and negative aspects of consuming food produced globally. However, the position is not always clear, and the ideas presented are limited and somewhat under-developed. For instance, the discussion on the positive side mentions food shortages in countries like Nepal and Pakistan and international aid, but this point lacks thorough elaboration and relies on vague generalisations. Similarly, the negative argument introduces an unusual and extreme point about wheat quality and its fatal consequences, which lacks sufficient context or supporting evidence. While the writer attempts to cover all parts of the prompt, the limited development of arguments and lack of a well-sustained stance keep this section at the current level. To reach a higher standard, the writer needs to present fully developed, well-supported ideas with clearer explanations of why globalized food production is beneficial or detrimental.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates some organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are basic, repetitive, and sometimes inaccurate, as seen in the formulaic transitional phrases like 'in one hand', 'another hand', and 'in conclusion'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of ideas lacks logical flow, particularly within the body paragraphs where arguments shift abruptly without smooth transitions. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use when referring to countries and aid. To improve coherence and cohesion, the writer should use a wider variety of accurate cohesive devices to link sentences and paragraphs naturally, ensuring that each paragraph has a distinct focus and a clear logical progression from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with a restricted range that frequently repeats basic words such as 'food', 'countries', 'produce', and 'best'. There are noticeable lexical errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'sel.ing' (selling), 'suppliying' (supplying), 'resions' (reasons), 'mantain' (maintain), 'relaionship' (relationship), 'geting dead' (dying), and 'consuing' (consuming). These inaccuracies occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band score, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire to include less common and more precise vocabulary, paying closer attention to word formation, collocations, and correct spelling to ensure smooth and accurate communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic, repetitive sentence patterns joined by conjunctions like 'and' or 'so'. Attempts at more complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to run-on sentences and grammatical breakdown, such as in the opening sentence and the lengthy second paragraph. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the text, including 'food are made', 'weather conditions not match', 'help him', and 'thatt happen'. These frequent errors place a heavy burden on the reader and can sometimes obscure the intended meaning. To improve grammatically, the writer needs to focus on mastering basic sentence boundaries, subject-verb agreement, and accurate verb tense usage before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
