Student answer (Band 5.0)
IT IS OFTEN ARGUE THAT NOWADAYS, CONSUMERS CAN PREFER A SUPERMARKET TO BUY FOOD PRODUCTS ALL OVER THE WORLD. IN MY PRESPECTIVE, THIS TREND IS A POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE SUPERMARKET PROVID VITAL PRODUCTS AND MODERN FACILITIES AND SIGNIFICANT BENEFITS FOR USERS.
ONE REASON WHY THIS IS A POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT IS THAT SUPERMARKETS AND MALLS PROVIDE VAST AMOUNT OF VARIETY AND BETTER GOODS QUALITY. TO BE MORE SPECIFIC, PERSONAL OUTLATES, MEGA MALLS OFFER BETTER-QUALITY PRODUCTS AT LOWER PRICES. MOREOVER, THEY MAY OFFERS DISCOUNTS AND ELIMINATE THE COMMISSION COST, WHICH MAKE PRODUCTS CHEAPER FOR CONSUMERS. CONSEQUENTLY, SUPERMARKET HELPS TO REDUCE MONTHLY EXPENCE ON FOODS AND OTHER ITEMS. TO EXEMPLIFY, SUPERMARKETS SUCH AS D-MARTS AND WALMARTS OFFERS, A WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCT AND CONSIDERABLY PROVIDE DISCOUNTS, WHICH MAKE SHOPPING MORE CONVENIENT AND AFFORDABLE FOR BUYERS. AS A RESULT MANY INDIVIDUALS PREFER SUPERMALLS. THEREFORE, THIS TREND HAS A BENEFICIAL IMPACT.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT REASON IS THAT, SUPERMARKET ENHANE CUSTOMERS' TRUST BY PROVIDING VARIOUS FACILITIES SUCH AS AIR-CONDITIONING ROOMS, ATMS, PARKING SPACE, HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT AND SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF THE QUANTITIES. ON OTHER WORDS, PEOPLE CAN PURCHASE MAJORITY GOODS AND PRODUCTS UNDER ONE ROOF. AS A RESULT, IT IS REDUCE TIME CONSUMPTION IN SHOPPING. SECONDLY, SUPERMARKET IMPROVE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN ADDITION ANY DEVELOPED COUNTRIES RECORDED UNDERGROUND SUPERMARKET FACILITIES. ADDITIONALLY, SUPERMARKET PROVIDE WIDE ARRAY OF INTERNATIONAL FOOD OPTIONS. FOR INSTANCE, IN INDIAN SUPERMARKET CHAIN, ZUDIO AND D-MART, PROVIDE KOREAN AND ITALIAN FOODS SUCH AS PASTA AND PIZZA.
IN CONCLUSION, IN THIS CONTEMPORARY ERA, SUPERMARKET MAY BENEFITICAL FOR BOTH SIDE, CONSUMERS AS WELL AS PRODUCTION HOUSES BECAUSE THEY ARE ABLE TO ESTABLISHING THE DIRECT CONNECTION WITH EACH OTHERS. HENCE, IN MY OPINION, AGREEMENT ABOUT THE SUPERMARKET IS POSTITVE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE SOCIETY.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt regarding global food in supermarkets, taking a clear positive position. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes tangential, focusing heavily on general supermarket features and malls rather than directly addressing the broader social or economic implications of consuming globally sourced food. For instance, the discussion moves into parking spaces, air-conditioning, and retail facilities instead of fully exploring the consequences of international supply chains. Because the ideas are partially developed and tend to drift toward general advantages of supermarkets, the response sits squarely at a limited level of task fulfillment.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic logical organisation with distinct paragraphs, and the writer attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'one reason why', 'moreover', and 'consequently' to structure the text. However, the progression of ideas lacks smoothness, and referencing is sometimes unclear, creating a mechanical feel. For example, transition phrases are occasionally overused or awkwardly placed, and sentences within paragraphs do not always flow logically into one another, such as the abrupt shift from parking spaces to employment opportunities and international food options in the third paragraph. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires better management to achieve clearer progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a limited vocabulary range that is minimally adequate for the task. There are several noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, such as 'prespective' instead of perspective, 'outlates' instead of outlets, and 'enhane' instead of enhance. Uncommon lexical items are attempted, but they often feature inaccuracies or awkward collocations, such as 'production houses' or 'underground supermarket facilities'. While meaning is generally conveyed, these lexical slips and spelling errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the vocabulary score from rising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The grammatical range is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside frequent attempts at complex structures that contain significant errors. There are frequent issues with verb forms and tense consistency, such as 'supermarket provide', 'they may offers', and 'it is reduce time consumption'. Additionally, errors occur in subject-verb agreement, pluralisation ('majority goods', 'any developed countries recorded'), and article usage throughout the essay. These frequent errors in basic and complex structures cause strain and difficulty for the reader, placing the grammatical accuracy at this specific level.
