Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays the consumer can buy any food that is rather produce in any part of the world or in any country from supermarket.I strongly agree that this is possitive development and had multiple benifits.
With the pessage of time the technoloy advances and so does the mode of travelling along with new methode of preservation of food enhanced.Nowadays the food you want to eat is avaliable to supermarkets around your locality despite the factor that either that food is locally generated of came from any other part of this world. This help notonly to enhance the food avaliablity but also play important role in maintaning the physical and mental health of person. If you are suffering from any illnes and the cure of that illness lies in particular food you can buy it.For example in my country pineapple in not locally produce butmy neighbour require it for curing the illness so upon request to local market the fruit is avaliable to him next day.
Similarly the technology also play important role in this regard. The advancment in travelling mode and food preservation enable the world to import and export food freely. For Example when i travel to UAE i found almost every type of food in market while the country itself did not cultivate any of those.
In conclusion, the consumer of any food can buy food from there local supermarket despie the factor it is locally cultivated or not .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly support the availability of food from around the world, and you give relevant reasons, including access to food that may help someone who is ill and the role of transport and preservation. The pineapple example and your experience in the UAE help connect the argument to real situations. However, the ideas are only partly developed: the health benefit is asserted rather than explained, and the UAE example does not show in detail why this availability is positive. The conclusion repeats the main point without summarising the reasons. The response also falls 14 words short of the required minimum, so it needs further development as well as additional length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. The sequence from food availability to technology and transport is generally understandable, and linking expressions such as “Similarly” and “In conclusion” signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are compressed into long sentences, and the relationship between the health claim and the pineapple example could be made clearer. Some connections are mechanical or imprecise, such as “despite the factor that either,” while the conclusion largely repeats the introduction. Use clearer topic sentences and explain each example before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “preservation of food,” “import and export,” and “cultivate,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make reading less smooth, for example “possitive,” “benifits,” “pessage,” “avaliable,” and “advancment.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “food is locally generated” and “the consumer of any food.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations such as “food is locally produced” and “consumers can purchase a wide range of foods.” Proofreading spelling and choosing more precise expressions would make your argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If you are suffering from any illnes and the cure of that illness lies in particular food you can buy it.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “This help … but also play” has subject–verb agreement problems, while “the technology also play” repeats this issue. Missing sentence boundaries and commas also affect clarity. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and articles.
