Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this statement talk about a consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food. This staement is completely correct. I think this is a positive and negative both developments.
Nowadays, people can go supermarkets and buy food and different things produced all over the world. I think some negative effects but some positive effects are developed. When people buy different food and things supermarket so all things are available one shop and all things are fresh and healthy but in case people buy things local market sothey do not available all things in one shop. Therefore, i think positive development if people buy things supermarket but they do not leave different markets.
In case positive effects is more but some negative effects because people buy all things supermarket and people cannot go to a different markets however local shopkeepers all things and efforts are lose and some things are not available in supermarket. Therefore, consumers can also go to all markets because different markets all things are not local but bad some things are good so consumers can go to all markets. For example, if all consumers can go to a supermarket they do not go to a different markets so different markets shopkeepers are very big lose because they do not sell things.
In short this is hunderd percent right that consumers can go to a supermarket but they do not leave different markets because negativety developed. Therefore i think consumers can go supermarket but they do not left different markets.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a position—“positive and negative both developments”—and discuss supermarket convenience alongside possible harm to local shopkeepers, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the position remains unclear: the conclusion says consumers should use supermarkets but not leave other markets, without clearly deciding whether the development is mainly positive or negative. The ideas are also repetitive and only briefly explained; for example, the point that shopkeepers may lose sales is repeated rather than supported with a fuller explanation or a specific example. The response is 244 words, six words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop one clear overall judgement and explain each main reason more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and it attempts to connect ideas with phrases such as “Therefore,” “For example” and “In short.” These features provide some basic organisation. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the same points—supermarket convenience and losses for local shopkeepers—are repeated, while the relationship between ideas is sometimes unclear. For instance, “all things are available one shop” is followed by a contrast with local markets, but the argument does not clearly show how this supports the overall position. Some linking phrases are used mechanically or do not introduce a clear consequence. Plan each paragraph around one distinct reason, then use clear references and transitions to show how the example supports that reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “supermarket,” “local market,” “fresh and healthy” and “shopkeepers,” so the reader can identify the main subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “all things,” “different markets” and “positive effects.” Some choices are unclear or unnatural, such as “negativety developed” and “shopkeepers are very big lose,” which make parts of the argument harder to understand. Spelling errors such as “staement” and “hunderd” also reduce accuracy. Build a small set of precise topic phrases and use them accurately—for example, language for imported food, consumer choice and local businesses—rather than repeating general words like “things.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple sentences and longer sentences joined with “but,” “because” and “therefore,” showing some effort to connect clauses. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “people can go supermarkets,” “When people buy different food and things supermarket,” and “I think positive development if people buy things supermarket.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, agreement and verb forms, as in “a consumers,” “different markets shopkeepers,” and “they do not left different markets.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need more control as well. Practise accurate basic patterns first, such as “Consumers can go to supermarkets” and “This is a positive development because…,” then add longer clauses only when their grammar is secure.
