Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and purchase food products, which are produced all over the world in most countries. This progress is certainly beneficial in my opinion. Cultural values and consumer satisfaction rates have been increased due to an easy accessiblity of foreign food items.

As the technology have been progressed in various fields of food industry and transportaion, it is possible now to export food to various locations without causing any harm to the quality of food products. Because of this, people can try out different food items that were not available at their place earlier. This increases cultural morals among individuals as they can get information on eating habits, and patterns of different people across the globe. For instance, in Surat, "Galleto ice-cream" is availabe at the moment, which is a very famous food item of france. This has led to link various people among different locations and cultures to unite upon one choice that is food.

There are numerous food products available at supermarkets that provides different kinds of variety for customers. This variety attracts customers as they try their hands on different products, which eventually results in increasing the market's sales. For example, in india, different varieties of pizza are available in various supermarkets. This enhances customer satisfaction rates, as they are provided with many different options to look up to.

In conclusion, it has become relatively easier and convinient to eat food produced from all over the world in various countries. This access can bridge the gap between cultural differences among different people and strenghten consumer satisfaction rate, as they are provided with a considerable number of choices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability beneficial, and the conclusion returns to this view. You address the question with two relevant reasons—greater cultural exchange and more consumer choice—and support them with examples such as French ice cream in Surat and pizza varieties in India. This meets the task well, and the cultural-exchange point shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, the explanation that imported food “increases cultural morals” is unclear, and the sales point is asserted rather than explored. To strengthen the response further, explain more precisely how food introduces people to other cultures and develop the consumer-choice argument with a specific consequence or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction stating your view, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from cultural exchange to consumer choice is easy to follow, and phrases such as “Because of this,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some links are mechanical, and a few references are not fully clear. For example, “This has led to link various people” does not clearly explain what “This” refers to or how the connection occurs. The second body paragraph also moves quickly from product variety to increased sales and then satisfaction. Use more precise transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its supporting example explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “consumer satisfaction,” “food industry,” “eating habits,” “variety,” and “cultural differences.” These choices help communicate your main ideas, and the examples make the discussion relevant. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “cultural morals,” “try their hands on different products,” and “look up to” options. Spelling errors, including “accessiblity,” “availabe,” “convinient,” and “strenghten,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations such as “cultural awareness,” “try different products,” and “choose from a range of options.” More precise vocabulary would make your reasoning clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “which,” and “because.” Most of the argument remains understandable, and the paragraph structure gives you opportunities to express cause and effect. However, some grammatical errors recur. For example, “the technology have been progressed” has incorrect agreement and verb construction; “products that provides” has a subject–verb agreement error; and “has led to link” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in phrases such as “due to an easy accessiblity.” Practise checking agreement, verb forms, and infinitive patterns, then proofread each sentence to ensure its clauses are complete and correctly connected.
