Student answer (Band 4.5)
for me i genuinely said it is a positive development rather than a negative because you can buy the product which is made in another country which i like it and i can find in my country there are many things which perviouly can be only found in that country which is made it but every one can buy it from super market for example in our country there is no soybeans so we imported from other country so people can consume it beacuse there are many people vegetrain so thry can take protein rich food so basically it is positive if you are traveller and you want to eat a food that is resemble to your home country so you can buy the spices of your country and make the food the veggies the spieces some people miss theirs food because every country has its own dishes taste so on other country you can find your country products is blessings that is all about the human wish now com to the posivity of the money the country gdp if you export the goods our country gdp increase our framers and bussiness man gets profit just like in our country we export the rice to the other country our farmers gets good profit if export is not possible ouir farmers does not get good enough profit so this is much posivity of that thing and the main thing countries exchanges theirs cultures the friendship with eachother that also a positivity i think this is blessings that we can find every think we want to eat if someone is see videos on online of some food and a hard wish to eat he would not go to the that country he can find from supermarket and find that food and can eat

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development, and you give relevant reasons, including access to soybeans for vegetarians, familiar foods for travellers, farmers’ income from exports, and cultural exchange. These examples show that you understand the topic and address the question. However, several points are introduced quickly rather than explained: for instance, the link between exporting rice and the country’s GDP is asserted but not developed, and the cultural-exchange point is not illustrated. The opening also focuses on your personal preference before establishing a more direct argument. To strengthen the response, organise two or three main reasons and explain how each benefits consumers or producers, while maintaining a clear position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response contains a recognisable sequence of supporting points, moving from food availability to familiar dishes, economic benefits, and cultural exchange. However, these ideas are presented in one long, largely unpunctuated paragraph, so the reader has difficulty seeing where one reason ends and another begins. Connectors such as “so,” “because,” and “and” are repeated, while transitions like “now com to the posivity of the money” do not create a clear, formal progression. Some references are also unclear, such as “that thing” and “that is all about the human wish.” Use separate paragraphs for distinct arguments, begin each with a clear topic sentence, and use a wider range of precise linking phrases to show how examples support your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “protein rich food,” “export,” “GDP,” “farmers,” and “cultures,” which helps communicate several relevant ideas. However, the range is limited and many words or phrases are repeated, particularly “positive,” “country,” “food,” and “can buy.” Frequent spelling errors, including “perviouly,” “vegetrain,” “spieces,” and “bussiness,” make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “the positivity of the money” and “a food that is resemble to your home country.” Build a more varied set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations; for example, describe “economic benefits” and “familiar cuisine” rather than relying on general wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and consequences using clauses with “because,” “if,” and “so,” as in “because there are many people vegetrain” and “if you export the goods our country gdp increase.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but sentence structures are often incomplete or run together, and errors frequently make relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “which is made it,” “our farmers gets,” and “he would not go to the that country.” Articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries need more reliable control. Try writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas with accurate subordinate clauses. Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate distinct points.
