Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, when you can see what is happening at the each end of the world and when you know each part of this planet has its specific goods so you will definetely try to use each and everything from the different countries.

During these days its very beneficial that everyone have acces to healthfull food items. Some people beleive that their home country products are the only one which are risk free so whenever people travels they always kept their products along with them but in this era of modernization plenty of multinational companies had scaled their buisness, you can easily find any products from any countries. For instance, my elder brother is currently living in germany pursuing his masters tell me that German pepper does not give taste in any sense so he tries SHAN MASALA special pepper from Pakistan and easily avalaible on each srore internationally.

Furthermore, there are many other things in taste that people do not want to change even when they travel to another country and they always give priorty to their selective food for example Muslims whenver travel to other non muslim countries its very hard for them to eat food from markets beacuse of some islamic regulations but there is company name HALAL FOODS which is available in each country and its products are easily available in supermarkets specially meat.

In a nutshell, its really a great positive development that you can find food items of any country all over the world, of personal taste and desire. Everyone likes to taste internationally and also this thing gives too much facilities to people who want that their taste should not be changed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you regard worldwide access to food as a positive development, and you support this with relevant examples involving Pakistani pepper seasoning in Germany and halal products for Muslim travellers. These examples show how imported food can preserve familiar tastes and meet dietary requirements. However, the discussion focuses mainly on convenience and personal preference; the opening claim about access to healthy food is not developed, and the benefits or possible drawbacks for consumers and countries are not explored in much depth. The conclusion restates your view but adds little to the argument. To strengthen the response, explain the significance of each example and develop a broader reason, such as greater choice or access to foods unavailable locally.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to two supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. The examples are generally placed alongside the points they illustrate, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “In a nutshell” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph shifts from healthy food to beliefs about home-country products and then to the brother’s experience. Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear connections, while repeated references to “this era” and “this thing” make links vague. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, use clearer references, and divide complex sentences so the argument develops more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “multinational companies,” “modernization,” “internationally,” and “Islamic regulations,” and these choices help communicate your examples. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “healthfull food items,” “give taste,” “each srore internationally,” and “too much facilities.” Spelling errors, including “definetely,” “acces,” and “avalable,” are also noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, “give taste” could be “have much flavour,” while “too much facilities” could be “many benefits.” This would make your meaning clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “when,” “so,” and “even when,” and your overall meaning is usually understandable. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. The opening sentence joins several clauses awkwardly, and “my elder brother … tell me” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and verb forms, as in “at the each end,” “any products,” and “whenever people travels.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly where several ideas are joined with commas. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement and article use.
