Student answer (Band 5.5)
Recent trends in many nations has shown that people go and buy food items that are produced worldwide from stores, shops and markets. I think of this as a positive development, because it has become very convenient for humans to buy anything from anywhere and also helps save time for other daily chores.
Nowadays, individuals find it feasible to do their groceries from supermarkets. You just have to make a list of what necessary things you need to bring and labels are marked at shops for help to find those specific products over there. In Germany, LIDL is very popular for day to day shopping where people can get almost every product at the same place that comes from different parts of the world. Having access to every product this way, has become simple and people love to do these activities on daily basis.
Customers also feel very happy to save time during shopping because they have everything brought up to a single place. Peolple before used to juggle around several markets to purchase their listed food items and it used to be a time taking task. But these days it takes minimul amount of time to bring food to the table. This approach has also helped the merchants in organizing their businesses and they can now place everything at their shops so that it can grow their customer connection.
This positive step has helped businesses to grow substantially and the hastle to wander around for searching food items has been resolved.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider worldwide food availability positive, mainly because it makes shopping convenient and saves time. The supermarket example in Germany helps make the discussion relevant, and you explain how shoppers can find products in one place. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because it focuses almost entirely on convenience and business growth. The claim that merchants can “grow their customer connection” is not clearly explained, and the ideas about saving time repeat one another rather than being developed with specific evidence. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how access to international foods benefits consumers—for example, through greater choice or access to foods unavailable locally—and support each main reason with a clear example. You could also acknowledge a possible drawback before reaffirming your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs give reasons, and a final sentence restates the positive conclusion. This makes the overall direction understandable. However, progression is limited because the second and third paragraphs both emphasise convenience and time-saving, so the argument does not develop much beyond its initial point. Some links are mechanical or unclear: “But these days” marks a contrast, yet the relationship between the previous and following ideas could be more precise, while “This positive step” in the conclusion refers broadly to several points. Organise each body paragraph around a distinct reason, then use clear links to show how its example supports that reason. Avoid repeating the same benefit in different wording.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough everyday vocabulary to communicate your main points, including “convenient,” “daily chores,” “different parts of the world,” and “substantially.” However, the range is limited and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which makes parts of the response less natural. For example, “do their groceries” would be better expressed as “do their grocery shopping,” and “a time taking task” is not idiomatic. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “Peolple,” “minimul,” and “hastle.” Aim for precise vocabulary related to food choice and international trade, and check spelling carefully. More accurate phrasing would make your ideas clearer and help avoid repetition of general terms such as “things” and “products.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, control is uneven, with errors in agreement, articles, sentence construction, and punctuation. For instance, “Recent trends … has shown” has a subject–verb agreement error; “a single place” follows an awkward construction in “they have everything brought up to a single place”; and the comma in “Having access to every product this way, has become simple” separates the subject from its verb. The sentence beginning “You just have to make a list” also shifts from the general third-person discussion to direct address. Practise checking agreement and sentence boundaries, and keep the point of view consistent. More accurate complex sentences would make the argument easier to follow.
