Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear final opinion that this is a positive development, and you include relevant points on both sides: imported food may affect local farmers, while supermarket choice can save time. The Nepal example about Chinese and Jumla apples helps make the negative point concrete. However, the response only partially develops the task: the opening says there are “few negative sides” and positive outcomes, but the conclusion favours the positive side without explaining why it outweighs the drawbacks. The discussion of fast food and delivery charges is not clearly connected to food being available from around the world. The response is also six words below the required minimum. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its basic structure. The contrast signalled by “On the other hand” is useful, and the apple example is placed with the point about local businesses. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from fast food to spending, online shopping, delivery charges, and local businesses without clearly linking these ideas. Several connectors, including “To explain in detail,” “Likewise,” and “To add more it,” do not establish the intended relationships clearly. Improve cohesion by organising each paragraph around one main reason and using accurate referencing and transitions to show how each supporting sentence relates to it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “local products,” “delivery charge,” “income,” “farmers,” and “wide variety,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning less clear, such as “harmful to local products,” “local business have effect numerous problem,” and “taste and preferences is most like.” Spelling errors are also frequent, including “indviduals,” “Citzens,” “diffrent,” and “posative,” and these can slow the reader. Aim for more precise phrases such as “harm local producers” and “a wider choice of international foods.” Proofread spelling and check that each word fits its grammatical and contextual meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, for example using “so” to explain that shoppers can save time and effort, and “which” to connect the apple example to farmers’ income. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “they can bought and paid delivery charge,” “local business have effect,” and “people have chhose from wide variety.” These show problems with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, particularly around commas and full stops. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense, agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
