Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era, customers from different nations can go to a supermarket and buy food manufactured all over the world.
I firmly believe it tends to be a positive development than negative for several reasons. There are several benefits owing to this change in the market. Firstly, because of this development the export and import of goods increased in many countries. For instance, India buys food products from America or Canada to sell them in their supermarket chains. Owing to this development the relationship between all nations become better and better day by day. Morely, the transport and logistics businesses get not only more profit but also boost from this initiative as they get more eatable items to transport. On the top of that, many individuals can try food dishes from various regions such as Italien,Chinese or other countries. Nextly, people find their favourite food items in near stores.
On the other side, there are various negative points to consider as well like the food which is imported from the other countries tend to be more expensive. Because a lot of import duties and tax are claimed over these items as a result the net cost of the product gets higher. Apperantly, every individuals who want to buy these items need to spend more than usual. For this reason it is not everyones cup of tea to buy a eating product which is imported and highly expensive. Lastly, it is quite hard to preserve the food for such a long time in a shoping mall or stores because it needs extra care to prevent it from getting rotten.
In conclusion, I personally believe that there are several negative points of this intiative, eventually it is positive development as the relationship gets better between each nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses both sides of the question and gives a clear overall view: you call the development positive, despite acknowledging drawbacks. Relevant reasons include stronger trade links, access to international foods, higher prices and preservation challenges. The India example helps illustrate importing, although the claim that this improves relationships between nations is asserted rather than explained, and the transport-business point is also brief. The conclusion is somewhat confusing because it first refers to “several negative points” and then says the development is positive; make the final position more direct and consistent. To strengthen the response, explain how the benefits affect consumers and weigh them explicitly against the costs, rather than listing several points with limited support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a conclusion. The contrast between the two main body paragraphs is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly” and “On the other side” help show the direction of the discussion. However, the sequence of points within the benefits paragraph feels list-like, with “Morely,” “On the top of that,” and “Nextly” used mechanically. Some links are also unclear: “Owing to this development” repeats without specifying the connection, and the conclusion’s shift from negative points to a positive judgement weakens the overall progression. Group related ideas and use fewer, more precise transitions to make the argument flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to discuss international food trade, including “import duties,” “transport and logistics,” and “preserve the food.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “development,” “items,” and “countries,” and several choices or spellings are inaccurate or unnatural. For example, “Morely” appears to be an incorrect form, “eatable items” is not a natural way to describe food being transported, and “a eating product” is awkward. “Italien” and “Apperantly” are also misspelled. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but they reduce precision and fluency. Aim for accurate collocations and vary repeated vocabulary with context-appropriate alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a result clause with “as a result.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “the relationship between all nations become” needs subject–verb agreement, while “every individuals” has a singular–plural mismatch. The sentence beginning “Because a lot of import duties…” is a fragment when separated from the preceding sentence, and “it is not everyones cup of tea to buy” has an unclear grammatical construction. Review agreement, sentence boundaries and clause structure, then check articles and possessives. More consistently accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
