Student answer (Band 6.0)

In majority of countries, users are now able to visit supermarket and purchase food which is produced across the world. In my opinion, it is a positive development because of wide variety and superior quality of food.

The main reason why this development is positive is that mulititude of food options. This is because when consumers have access to supermarket, they may able to know more about the food items exist on earth and they can buy it. Moreover, people who love to consume different style of cusine, they would be able to get that food items in the supermarkets. For example, in many developed countries, government has eastablished subtle stores, where food from the different culture of is available and people could buy any food item.

Another significant reason is that economic benefits and better quality. This is because international exports and import of food leads to a great opportunities for the companies and farmers to sell their product on the globe level, which improve their wealth as well as expanison the area of market. In addition, it has also improved the quality of pruduct as to face cut throat revalry in international tarde, manufactures have to distribute better quality products in the market. For Instance, in recent times, the export of spices from India has rised due to its great quality and realibility in the international market.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that buying of global food items by the consumers is a positive development due to its significant effects on the lives of the individuals and economic growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability positive, and the conclusion maintains that view. You give two relevant reasons—greater choice and economic benefits/improved quality—and support them with examples about international cuisine and Indian spice exports. This addresses the question, but the development is uneven: the first example about “subtle stores” is unclear, and the link between global food access and consumers’ lives is asserted rather than explained. The economic paragraph offers more detail, though the effects on farmers, companies and product quality could be connected more explicitly to the question. To strengthen the response, explain each cause-and-effect link and use precise, credible examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from consumer choice to economic effects is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Another significant reason,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “This is because when consumers have access to supermarket” does not clearly explain the preceding point, while “For example” introduces a store example whose relevance is difficult to understand. The conclusion also repeats the position without drawing together the two arguments. Use referencing more precisely and make each example’s connection to its paragraph’s main idea explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “economic benefits,” “international exports and import,” “market,” and “quality,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “multititude of food options,” “subtle stores,” “globe level,” and “cut throat revalry”; several intended meanings are therefore unclear or unnatural. Spelling errors such as “cusine,” “expanison,” and “pruduct” further reduce precision. Build a reliable set of collocations for trade and consumer choice, and proofread spelling and word forms so that your vocabulary conveys ideas accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and attempts at complex sentences, including clauses beginning “because” and “when,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is inconsistent: some sentence patterns are faulty, and errors in articles, agreement and verb forms recur. For example, “In majority of countries” needs an article, “they may able to know” is missing a verb form, and “a great opportunities” has a number-agreement problem. The sentence beginning “people who love to consume different style of cusine, they would be able…” also has an awkward clause structure. Practise forming complete clauses and checking articles, singular/plural agreement and verb patterns, while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
