Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people buy food in many countries can go to supermarkets and produced different parts of the world. The global availability has some positive aspects.it also has has some negative effect. From my perspective,it is consider that both advantages and disadvantages in this development.
The biggest advantages in that people can easily access food from different countries.for instance people live in Pakistan can buy food products imported from China, Australian,Italy and other countries. This can give to people an opportunity to try new foods and learn about different cultures and cuisines. Another benefits is that international trade to make different kinds of fruits and vegetables available throughout the year. Some fruits and vegetables are produced only in particular seasons or rigions. But, they can be imported from other countries made available to consumer.consquently, individuals can easily food they want.Futhermore, food products and companies can benefits to businesses and economies. Farmers and companies can their food products in international markets. This can create employment opportunities and international trade between two countries. This development has some negative effect on the environment. The food is transported from one county to another country by airplanes, ships and trucks. This means of transportation is produced carbon dioxide which can contribute to climate change, global warming, and environmental pollution. However, small business and locally products may face many difficulties. For example international trade available food products in supermarkets in high quality and lower price the customer choose them instead of locally products good.subsequently, locally products and farmer may face negative affect. In conclusion the availability of food around the world has some positive and negative effects. However, people can choose, convenience and access different cuisines it can create environmental pollution and locally products.but, l believe that imported food can support of locally products. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that imported food brings benefits as well as drawbacks. Relevant points include access to international cuisines, year-round availability, trade and employment, transport emissions, and pressure on local producers. The examples of Pakistani consumers buying food from other countries and seasonal produce being imported help make the discussion concrete. However, the position is not fully consistent: the introduction says both advantages and disadvantages, while the conclusion says imported food can support local products without explaining how. Some points, especially the claim about supporting local producers and the effects on businesses, need clearer explanation or evidence. Develop the main ideas more fully and state your final judgement precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to benefits, drawbacks, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Another benefits,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” signal the intended progression. However, the benefits and drawbacks are crowded into one long body paragraph, so the shift between them is not always easy to follow. Several links are inaccurate or unclear, including “But, they can be imported… made available” and “However, small business…”. The conclusion also combines several ideas without showing how they relate. Use separate paragraphs for the two sides, connect each example directly to its point, and use fewer, more precise linking expressions to create a clearer progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “international trade,” “employment opportunities,” “carbon dioxide,” “climate change,” and “locally products,” showing an attempt to discuss economic and environmental effects. There is also some variety in how you refer to food and trade. However, word choice, word forms, and spelling are often inaccurate or repetitive, and some phrases make the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “Australian” for the country name, “rigions,” “consquently,” “locally products,” and “negative affect.” Phrases such as “food products and companies can benefits to businesses” are also imprecise. Check spelling and part-of-speech forms, and learn natural collocations such as “locally produced food,” “benefit local businesses,” and “reduce carbon emissions.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “However” and a relative clause in “Some fruits and vegetables are produced only in particular seasons.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, sentence boundaries, agreement, and articles. For example, “people buy food in many countries can go” combines structures incorrectly, while “international trade to make” lacks a correctly formed verb. In “This means of transportation is produced carbon dioxide,” the sentence pattern is also faulty. Punctuation and spacing around sentence openings and commas need attention. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete, correctly formed verb.
