Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, in many countries, customers can go to a supermarket and buy all food products worldwide. I think it is positive development because people can have opportunites to try all types of foods and they could choose high-quality products. One major advantage of this development is people could try all kinds of products. Some countries have fruits or even foods that we do not have access to so we could eat all types of foods even though you live in other country. Many people wants to travel all over the world because they want to taste variety of food products that they do not have in their country. Therefore, having access to foods all over the world is a great for people who wants to taste variety of products.
Another reason why i consider this is a positive development is people could choose the high-quality foods, in many countries people have to consume low-quality products because they do not have many choices in their country. For example, many people eat foods they do not prefer because their country does not have access to other country's foods, thus having a lot of choices to choose from means you could get your favourites.
In conclusion, consumers having products from all over the world is a positive development because people could have chance to taste different kinds of foods and they could choose things they want not things that are available.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you consider worldwide food availability positive, and you give two relevant reasons—trying unfamiliar foods and having more choice of quality or preferred products. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these ideas remain general and are not supported with a specific example or much explanation. For instance, the claim that people can choose “high-quality foods” is not developed to show how international products improve quality or consumer choice. The conclusion repeats the two reasons rather than adding a final insight. The response is also 12 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space to develop your points. Extend each reason with a concrete example and explain its significance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Basic linking expressions such as “Therefore,” “Another reason,” and “For example” help show the relationship between ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is repetitive: the first body paragraph repeatedly says that people can try different foods, while the second circles around having more choices. Some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly “For example” followed by a broad claim about people eating foods they do not prefer. Use each paragraph to develop one distinct point in a clear sequence—claim, specific example, explanation—and vary references to avoid repeating “foods” and “products.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “high-quality,” “access,” “variety,” and “available.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “foods,” “products,” “all types,” and “choices.” Some combinations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “a great for people,” “taste variety of food products,” and “things they want not things that are available.” These choices make the writing less fluent and occasionally require the reader to infer your meaning. Aim for more precise expressions such as “a wider selection of imported produce” or “meet consumers’ preferences,” and check spelling, including “opportunities” and “favourites.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your overall meaning, but the response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, and attempts to combine ideas often contain errors. Examples include “people could try all kinds of products” after “One major advantage … is,” where the clause structure is incomplete, and “even though you live in other country,” which shifts person and omits an article. Subject–verb agreement is also inconsistent: “Many people wants” and “people who wants.” Other recurring issues include missing articles and awkward sentence boundaries, as in “Another reason why i consider this is a positive development is people could choose…” Use a wider mix of accurately formed sentences, check agreement and articles, and punctuate long sentences so each relationship between ideas is clear.
