Student answer (Band 5.0)

In that modern era, supermarket is a very common facility that need many people to buy food that are imports from different countries around the world. So, through that food consumers can taste different variety of food that's imports from different countries all over the world while i think that good and positive development because through that economy of any country grow throgh exports food in the world and also food buyer taste different food of different world regions.

Firstly, we should need to go supermarket to consume food of our choice and also going supermarket for consuming food that are healthy activity. However, in that digital era we have option to buy food from mobile app and have option to deliver that food at home but i think that are not good choice also through that we not buy food of over choice.

Secondly, i am foody person so that's why i need to explore different food that come all over the world. In my daily, i visit supermarket regularly to explore different food that are import from other countries and also to try seaonal new food that are present in supermarket. In addition, through that when food are import to different countries around the world the economy of country are maintain well. So, every country need to import and export variety of food for good economy.

On the otherside, according to my own knowledge country like pakistan i see people that export there food to other countries they send high quality food to foreign countries and in pakistan they distribute or transfer third quality food in pakistan supermarket, So, that are negative development.

In conclusion, consumer should go to a supermarket and buy food that are exported from different countries all over the world that are positive development through that consumer explore foreign food and also good impact on country economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that access to imported food is positive, and you offer relevant reasons: consumers can try foods from other regions, and food trade may support national economies. The personal example of visiting supermarkets also helps make the response relevant. However, the position becomes less consistent when you introduce Pakistan, saying that higher-quality food is exported while lower-quality food is sold locally, and conclude that this is a negative development. This point is not clearly connected to the question of consumers buying food from around the world, and it is not reconciled with your positive conclusion. Develop fewer reasons more fully, explain how each supports your view, and clarify the role of the counterargument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two main paragraphs, a contrasting point and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In addition” help signal movement between ideas. However, progression is limited because several points repeat the same claim about exploring foreign food and economic benefits, while the paragraph about mobile-app shopping shifts away from the task’s central issue. The contrast beginning “On the otherside” is also not clearly linked to the preceding argument, and the conclusion does not resolve it. Use each paragraph to develop one distinct reason, connect examples explicitly to that reason, and use referencing and transitions more precisely rather than relying on repeated signposts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “supermarket,” “import,” “export,” “economy,” and “foreign food.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “high quality” and “seasonal new food.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “different food” and “all over the world.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, including “foody person,” “good choice,” and “third quality food,” which can make the intended meaning less clear. Spelling errors such as “throgh,” “seaonal,” and “there” also affect accuracy. Build a wider set of precise terms for food trade and quality, and check collocations and spelling when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses linked with “because,” “while,” and “when,” but complex sentences are often difficult to follow because of frequent errors. For example, “supermarket is a very common facility that need many people” has problems with articles, agreement and sentence meaning; “food that are imports” also has incorrect agreement and form. Errors with verb forms and sentence construction recur in phrases such as “the economy of any country grow” and “when food are import.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, especially in the long opening sentence and after “supermarket” in the Pakistan example. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and complete sentence boundaries, then add complexity only where you can control it.
