Student answer (Band 5.0)
These days, it is generally believe that in many countries consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food all over the world. this can have both positive and negative aspects in this statements. i will point out some positive and few negative aspects of this.
To begin with, one of the positive aspects of this is that it price is more reliable and buy the quality product because when we are arrive in the supermarket there will be more food or various types of items what we can pefered it will be more comfortable and reliable for us to choose the good quality of products for example , it increase the brand name of the suprermarket and more covinent for us to use the product.when we are visit in the markrt we can obviously discount our goods and commodity products therefore, it helps to positive impact in the soceity and individuals for the long run.
In the contrast it is not only only the positive aspects it have few negative aspects too.i would argue that one of the main drawbacks of this is it consume more time and have not sufficent facilities because when we would go to the supermarket we has to using some vechicle which is effectively harm our time and we should know about that the facilities will be more favourable or less competitve for us. for instance, some people same office depatrment job , some have hotel restaurant job some have no need to time visit in the market and they cannot able to fullfill there services effectively . there will be some personal reason that cannot be show ever people therefore, it is more suitable to this every quality product shouyld be delivered in tho the people home because it can be more suitable to nperson to utilized there product.
In conclusion ,with this evidence demonstrated so far, i would present the fact by stating the product are reliable but it harm the peole time table extent when we are visit in the market discount also be included in the commodity product thus,we should weigh the several factor which it detyermine the positive and negative aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You attempt to discuss both positive and negative aspects, and the essay includes a concluding statement. However, the response only minimally addresses the actual question: whether access to food from around the world is a positive or negative development. The claimed benefits—reliable prices, product quality, supermarket branding and discounts—are not clearly connected to international food availability, while the drawback about travel time focuses on visiting supermarkets rather than buying imported food. Your position is also unclear: the conclusion says products are reliable but harm people’s schedules, without deciding which overall effect is stronger. To improve, state a clear view and develop relevant reasons, such as greater choice or year-round access, balanced against environmental costs or effects on local producers.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable essay shape, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for positive and negative points, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “In the contrast,” and “In conclusion” helps identify these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because ideas are loosely connected: the discussion moves from quality and choice to supermarket branding, discounts and social impact without explaining the links. Some transitions are inaccurate or repetitive, and references such as “this” and “it” do not always make clear which idea is meant. Organise each body paragraph around one relevant main point, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “supermarket,” “quality product,” “commodity products” and “discount,” and use a few linking expressions. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent word-choice, collocation and spelling errors strain the reader. Phrases such as “price is more reliable,” “discount our goods,” and “harm the people time table” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also misspellings such as “suprermarket,” “covinent” and “sufficent.” Build a more precise vocabulary for the topic and check common word combinations; for example, explain “a wider choice of imported food” or “lower prices” rather than relying on vague references to products and reliability.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You try to form longer sentences using clauses and connectors, but the range of structures is very limited in practice, and frequent errors sometimes distort meaning. Examples include “it is generally believe,” “when we are arrive,” and “we has to using,” which show problems with verb forms and agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries are also unreliable, as in “it have few negative aspects too.i would argue.” Capitalisation and punctuation errors further make the response harder to read. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms and punctuation. For instance, “When consumers visit a supermarket, they can choose from many types of food” is a clearer structure.
