Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today modern world some people thinks going to supermarket and buying food that is produced all over the world is greate development while other oppose this thing. In my opinion, it is a great and possitive develoment.
I think this is a good advancement regarding to food.Customers can go to supermarket and get the food from all over the world. It has its own benefits. For example a person wants to eat a chocolate or want to drink any soft drink that are not produce in his country, he can get that in the market because of this.
It also have more good things to it like it save the time of delievery if that person order those from some website or direct throught the company or factory that manufacture it. Moreover, ordering few food item arcoss the world will cost more delievery charges than itself the product. So, finding those things in stores is cheaper and easier than the ordering them.
I strongly believes this is an execellent progress in food insustries as well as in supermarket one. This positive development not only help the customers but it also help the stores owner. Like it help them to increase their bussiness buy offer their customers way more options to pick than they are needed. It not only help the people who purchases foriegn food by making easier to get it near them as well as cheaper but also for the market shop holder as they can also find it cheaper as they order the food in bulk.
In conclusion, I agree that this is positive progress for the food industries and it also helps the customers as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“it is a great and positive development”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including easier access to imported products, lower delivery costs, and greater choice for customers, and you also mention benefits to supermarket owners. This addresses the question, but some points are more fully explained than others. The chocolate and soft-drink example illustrates access, while the claims about saving time and helping stores increase business are asserted rather than supported with a specific explanation or example. Develop each main reason by showing how it affects consumers or businesses, and make the comparison with ordering online more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from consumer access and convenience to benefits for retailers, and linking expressions such as “For example,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal these moves. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The second paragraph begins “It also have more good things to it,” which does not clearly identify the point being developed, and the long sentence beginning “This positive development not only help…” combines several ideas without clear boundaries. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main reason, and divide complex points into shorter sentences with clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your view, including “customers,” “delivery charges,” “product,” “options,” and “in bulk.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “good advancement regarding to food,” “more good things,” and “market shop holder.” Spelling errors—including “greate,” “delievery,” “bussiness,” and “foriegn”—are noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe “a wider range of imported products” rather than “way more options,” and use “retailers” or “supermarket owners” instead of “market shop holder.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional example (“if that person order…”) and a contrast structure (“not only… but also…”). The main ideas are usually understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “some people thinks,” “It also have,” “it save the time,” and “I strongly believes”; these subjects require matching verb forms. The sentence beginning “Like it help them…” is also an incomplete, informal construction. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and forming complete sentences, especially when using longer structures. More accurate control of these patterns would make your reasoning easier to follow.
