Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, consumers can easily purchase food that produced all over the world in many countries. I believe it is a positive development because it is convenient for people and can experience the other countries cultural food in their own country.

One of the main positive growth for this is that people find it easier to purchase every kind of food in their own hometown. They will have variety of options to try new receipes with them. Most people watch videos of different countries food that they always wanted to try it. They have now access to their food items in their own grocery stores without spending extra charges on purchasing from the other country. For example, people can purchase blue berries from Walmart supercenter now as it is only produced in a limited countries.

Although it is accessible, people can also experience the other cultural dishes. Most people can not afford to go their favourite country to eat their different cusinies and food items such as, chinese famous hotpot and their spicy kimchi. They can now taste it and experience their traditional food. When people try different food items of different countries, they can easily connect with their culture. This advancement makes people life easier to try their favourite countries food which they really admire it.

In conclusion, i strongly believe that it is a positive advancement in a country by providing access to different food items which produced all over the world because people can purchase any type of food with ease and have a chance to exposure with different culture in their own hometown.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you consider worldwide food availability positive, mainly because it offers convenience and lets people experience other cultures. Both reasons are relevant, and the examples of trying recipes and buying blueberries help illustrate access. However, the two main ideas are not developed equally or precisely. The point about convenience is mostly repeated as easier access, while the cultural benefit would be stronger with a clearer explanation of how imported ingredients or dishes help people understand another culture. Some claims, such as blueberries being produced in only a limited number of countries, also need clearer support. Develop each reason with a specific explanation and a well-linked example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from convenience to cultural experience is easy to follow, and phrases such as “One of the main” and “In conclusion” signal the stages. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and ideas within paragraphs are not always linked clearly. For example, the move from watching food videos to buying groceries could be explained more directly. Repeated references to “different food” and “people” also make the flow less smooth, while “this advancement” has an unclear reference. Use more precise links between claim, explanation, and example, and vary referencing where possible.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related terms such as “purchase,” “variety of options,” “cultural dishes,” and “traditional food.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision. Examples include “positive growth” for a development, “other countries cultural food,” “cusinies,” and “have a chance to exposure.” “Blue berries” is normally written as “blueberries,” and “recipes” is misspelled as “receipes.” Repetition of “food items” and “different” also limits flexibility. Choose more natural topic phrases and check spelling; for instance, describe “access to international cuisine” rather than repeatedly referring to different food items.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main message is generally understandable. However, some errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction remain. The opening phrase “food that produced” needs a passive verb (“food that is produced”), while “people life” needs a possessive form (“people’s lives”). In “Most people watch videos … that they always wanted to try it,” the relative clause and pronoun are not correctly formed; a clearer version would be “videos of dishes they have always wanted to try.” The final sentence also contains a faulty structure in “food items which produced.” Practise accurate relative clauses and passive forms, and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation.
