Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a positive view at first, saying supermarkets make food easy to buy, and you mention that city residents may not be able to produce food themselves. However, the response does not develop a clear answer to the question: the third paragraph calls the development negative, and the conclusion shifts to village farming without resolving this contradiction. Much of the discussion focuses on whether people can grow food in villages rather than on the effects of access to food from around the world. To improve, state one position clearly and support it with relevant, explained reasons—for example, greater choice or year-round access, balanced against possible effects on local producers. The response meets the stated length requirement; eight words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “In conclusions” show awareness of how to connect points. However, ideas are not arranged in a coherent progression: the second paragraph supports a positive view, while the next labels the same development negative, and the conclusion does not settle this conflict. Repeated references to villages and food production also make it difficult to follow the central argument. Some connections, such as “So, this is negative development,” do not follow clearly from the preceding point. Plan a simple structure—position, two supporting reasons, and a conclusion—and use each paragraph to develop one distinct point with clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on “food,” “people,” “villages,” and “available.” Some wording makes the intended meaning difficult to understand, as in “these food can make very hardly” and “negative creativity.” There are also spelling errors, including “spermarket,” “availble,” and “poeples,” which reduce clarity. You do use a few relevant terms, such as “supermarkets,” “farming,” and “farming instruments,” but the range is not yet sufficient to express the task’s ideas precisely. Build topic vocabulary for global food access and its effects, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, explain whether imported products increase consumer choice or create competition for local farmers.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You mainly use simple sentence patterns, with some attempts to join ideas using “because” and “so.” These attempts show an emerging ability to form longer sentences, but errors in sentence structure and basic grammar are frequent. Examples include “Many peoples go,” “these food can,” “supermarkets is available,” and “they peoples live,” where number agreement or sentence formation is inaccurate. The sentence “They cannot make these things thats why…” also joins two complete ideas without suitable punctuation or a clear grammatical link. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures. Clear, controlled simple sentences will make your reasoning easier to understand.
