Student answer (Band 5.0)

Around the world, individuals can go to their supermarket and may have the chances to buy and savour various types of foreign fruits. In my opinion this one the example of positive development with some relevant drawbacks.

At the beginning we are now living in the global village through the help of internet. While leaving at this era we come contact with different fruit videos via mobile. So when a supermarket is stuffed with foreign and local fruits this is one of the biggest development since we have internet. We are tasting various foreign fruits that are enriched in nutritions and minerals. The seller is selling them at a good market price which is leading towards their financial development. This is helping them to produce job vacancy to handle their business more swiftly and smoothly.

Subsequently this opportunity of eating foreign fruits come with some drawback, The local market loose It's competency becase people put more interest to buy foreign fruits rather than having local fruuts. This propogate a huge amounty of loss. Some dishonest sellers make fraudulent price, state of the fruits etc to make more profit.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a position by calling access to imported food a “positive development” while acknowledging drawbacks, and you give relevant points about consumer choice, sellers’ income and competition for local produce. However, the response addresses the question only partially: the benefits and harms are asserted rather than explained with specific examples, and the discussion focuses almost entirely on fruit rather than food from around the world more broadly. The final paragraph begins “In the end” but contains no conclusion, so your overall judgement is not fully reinforced. The response is also 60 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop your reasons. Extend each main point with a clear explanation or example and finish with a direct summary of your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: the opening states your view, the next paragraph presents benefits, and “Subsequently” introduces drawbacks. This gives the reader a general sense of the response’s direction. However, progression is incomplete because the final line, “In the end,” is left unfinished, and the benefits paragraph moves quickly from internet use to nutrition, prices, jobs and business growth without showing how these points connect. Some linking is also mechanical or unclear, such as “At the beginning” and “Subsequently.” Use one paragraph for each main reason, connect each supporting sentence explicitly to its topic, and complete the conclusion. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow who “them” and “their” refer to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “foreign fruits,” “local market,” “financial development” and “fraudulent,” and the meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which can make the reader pause. For example, “the biggest development since we have internet” does not express the intended benefit clearly, while “produce job vacancy” and “make fraudulent price” are not natural combinations. Spelling errors such as “nutritions,” “competency,” “becase” and “fruuts” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range around international food trade, consumer choice and local producers, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including the conditional-style idea “when a supermarket is stuffed with foreign and local fruits” and the contrast introduced by “While.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “In my opinion this one the example,” “While leaving at this era we come contact,” and “The local market loose.” The opening also has an unclear construction in “can go to their supermarket and may have the chances.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check articles, verb agreement and sentence boundaries carefully.
