Student answer (Band 5.5)

In modern era people can buy any kind of food in big stores very easily. I belief it is a very positve development and its benefit outweigh its drawbacks. Because due to this trend people can enjoy unseasonal food and it also increase earnings opportunities.

Today, if you go any of the main market you will easily find things of every kind and food produced by all over the world. Due to this we can enjoy any kind of food in any season and we have not to wait for that season. Weather is not same in all over the world so with the help of this every country produced food things and export them to other countries. Like we can enjoy mangoes in winter but this the summer season product. The main things is the local market should prioritize the locally produced things along with that give a opportunity of food produced by different countries.

Secondly, with this trend we can play our part to strengthen the economy of the many countries. If people consumed foods of different areas definetly more the people buy food more the economy become strong. It also helped the local farmers and give them a good earning oppurtunities. For instance, the residents of many countries like the Pakistani mangoes and the farmers of the Pakistan export massive quantity of the mangoes all over the world. Through exports they earn profit a lot. Eventually exports of any things make a good impact on the country economy. By providing good food options, reduces many issues in the society. It allows people to live a healthy life.

In conclusion, I would say this is very positive trend that helps people around the world and due to this type of the sale i believe people will enjoy and earn more.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development, and the conclusion maintains that view. You address two relevant benefits—access to out-of-season produce and export income—and the Pakistani mango example gives the economic point some support. However, the two ideas are not developed equally: the seasonal-food point is explained briefly, while the claim that imports strengthen many countries’ economies is broad and would benefit from a clearer explanation of who gains and how. The statement that this trend helps people live healthily is also asserted without an example or explanation. Develop each main point with a more specific chain of reasoning and ensure examples directly support the claim.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Today” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from consumer access to economic effects, and linking expressions such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “By providing good food options, reduces many issues” does not clearly connect to the preceding discussion, and “Due to this” is repeated without always making its reference precise. The first body paragraph also shifts from global availability to a recommendation about local markets without fully linking the two. Use clearer references and transitions, and organise each paragraph around one central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “unseasonal food,” “export,” “local farmers,” and “economy.” The mango example also gives the discussion some specificity. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less natural, such as “earnings opportunities,” “food things,” “earn profit a lot,” and “positve.” Repetition of “food,” “people,” and “country” also reduces precision. Aim to use more accurate topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, “export revenue” and “access to imported produce” would express your points more precisely than the repeated general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional phrasing such as “If people consumed foods of different areas…” and a relative clause in “the farmers of the Pakistan export…”. Meaning is usually understandable, but some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction remain. Examples include “it also increase earnings,” “every country produced,” and “the main things is.” The sentence beginning “Because due to this trend” is also an incomplete, awkwardly joined explanation, while “By providing good food options, reduces…” lacks a clear subject. Review subject–verb agreement and make sure each sentence has a complete main clause. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentences clearer.
