Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear overall view that access to food from around the world is positive, and you try to support it with examples such as imported mangoes and consumers’ access to different foods. However, the reasons are not consistently relevant or clearly explained. The claim that Australia is a “super power” does not show why importing mangoes benefits consumers, and the discussion of buses, trains and planes shifts away from the effects of international food availability. Several points, including “healthy food” and “super shakes water,” remain unclear or undeveloped. To strengthen the response, explain a few direct benefits—such as year-round choice, dietary variety or access to foods unavailable locally—and connect each example explicitly to your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion, so there is some visible organisation. The overall progression, however, is difficult to follow because ideas within paragraphs are loosely connected: the first moves from healthy food to mango imports and then to supermarkets generally, while the second shifts among pizza, travel, transport and food. “Thus” is repeated as a mechanical link, and phrases such as “From my own knowledge and everyday experience” do not clearly connect to the following point. Build each paragraph around one reason, arrange its explanation and example in sequence, and use clear references and linking phrases only where they show a genuine relationship.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “consumers,” “supermarkets,” “healthy food,” and “produced all over the world,” which helps establish the topic. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the message hard to understand. Examples include “Coustamers,” “vegetabels,” “avaliable,” and “cunsumers”; phrases such as “super powered shakes water” and “positive role” are also unclear or unnatural. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and avoid repeating broad terms such as “things” and “good.” More precise vocabulary for the benefits of imported food would help you express your ideas clearly and flexibly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, but grammatical control is weak and errors frequently obscure meaning. Verb forms are often incorrect, as in “people buy healthy foods … and eat things” followed by “government purchased mangoes,” and “every thing buyed.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable: “Because nowadays…” is left as a fragment, while several sentences run together without spaces or clear stops. There are problems with articles, agreement and sentence construction, for example “Mango are not avaliable” and “every country person like.” Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense, singular/plural agreement and punctuation.
