Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many countries, by purchasing items, foods from supermarket has both impact like positive and negative impact all over the world.

To begin with, to buy food from supermarket of all over world positive impact on countries, because it is beneficial to make relationships between countries and buy items at low prices that are useful for country. It is very important for country because there are many kinds of items , food that are available for whole year. The benefits of these things is for people who wants to get foreign items , and they go out from country only for purchasing these items. That are the benefits of buying food items from international markets.

Secondly, the negative impact of international shipping is on local sellers in country, because most of the people buy goods from international markets than the selling amount of local shopkeepers has been decreased that are negatively impact on them and their families. Moreover, by getting items from international shops and people go there by airplane has positive impact on pollution that are very dangerous of health and it may cause a lot of pollution in country that are harmful for people. In addition, many amount of money are use for going to other countries anr purchasing items. These are some negative impact that are producing by buying food from foreign markets.

In my opinion, it has both impact on country like negative and positive. I discuss both sides that are on country's pollution, disadvantage for local communities and beneficial for those people whot likes foreign food items.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the question by presenting both benefits and drawbacks, including international relationships and year-round access to food, as well as effects on local sellers and pollution. However, the task asks whether this is a positive or negative development, and your conclusion—“it has both impact”—does not make a clear overall judgement. Several points are also under-developed: for example, you mention relationships between countries but do not explain how food trade strengthens them, and the pollution point shifts from imported food to people travelling by airplane to shop. To improve, state clearly which side outweighs the other and support each main reason with a relevant explanation or example connected directly to food being available in supermarkets.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Secondly,” and a concluding paragraph. This helps readers identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined without showing their precise relationship. For instance, the discussion moves from international shipping to local sellers, then to people travelling by airplane, which makes the argument feel loosely connected. Repeated phrases such as “positive impact” and “negative impact” also make the linking mechanical. Organise each body paragraph around one central reason, develop it in a clear sequence, and use referencing or transitions that explain how each sentence supports that reason.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “international shipping,” “local sellers,” “pollution,” and “foreign food items,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “positive impact,” “negative impact,” and “items.” Some word combinations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “positive impact on pollution” and “the selling amount of local shopkeepers,” which make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “anr” and “whot” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for trade, consumer choice, and environmental effects, and check collocations and spelling when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “that,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “The benefits … is” and “people who wants,” while “many amount of money are use” contains problems with number and verb form. Sentence construction is also faulty in places, as in “than the selling amount of local shopkeepers has been decreased,” making the intended comparison hard to follow. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are not consistently controlled either. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and shorter complex sentences, then check each sentence for a clear subject, a correctly formed verb, and appropriate punctuation.
