Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development, and the conclusion returns to this view. You give relevant reasons, including greater dietary variety, access to seasonal produce, convenience, and economic benefits. These points address the question, but they are not all developed equally. The discussion of variety and convenience includes some explanation, while the claim that international purchasing grows the economy is broad and would benefit from a specific mechanism or example. The reference to the USA as a major food-trading country is also unclear and does not fully support the point as written. To strengthen the response, explain how imports benefit consumers or producers and use a precise example to show the effect.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main ideas generally progress from consumer benefits to economic effects. Linking phrases such as “To commence with,” “Additionally,” and “To recapitulate” help signal this organisation. However, some connections feel mechanical, and the relationship between claims is occasionally unclear—for example, the USA example does not clearly demonstrate the preceding point about convenience. The conclusion repeats the body points rather than drawing them together. Improve cohesion by using simpler, more precise transitions and by making each example directly support the sentence before it. Clearer referencing and fewer formulaic phrases would make the progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “dietary diversity,” “global ingredients,” “market competition,” and “global trade,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “manufactured” for food that is grown or produced, “most demanding country for food export and import nation,” and “fruitful for people.” Spelling errors in “developement,” “vegatables,” “competetion,” and “finacially” also reduce accuracy. Some formal expressions, including “multifarious rationales” and “to explicate,” sound forced rather than precise. Aim for natural, accurate phrasing and check spelling; a smaller set of well-controlled topic words will be more effective than ornate vocabulary used imprecisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which” and “as well as,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur across sentence structures, verb forms, agreement and articles. For example, “choices of people for buying things is change” has problems with both the subject and verb form, while “it is helps to grow the economy” combines incompatible verb patterns. In “without go one place to another place for find their items,” the verbs and prepositions are not correctly formed. Sentence boundaries and capitalization also need attention, as in “to elaborate” after a full stop. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each verb pattern.
