Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many countries nowadays, customers may visit a supermarket and bought food that is produced around the world.
I believe it is a postive development, because it improves the overall trade relations among different countries, and consumers can have access to broader food variety.
If countries are bringing food produced all over the world, they are indirectly strengthening trade relations with each other. However, there will be lots of import and export opportunities created, which can contribute to the economy of a country in a positive way. For Instance, the country in which I live, earned alot by exporting fresh fish last year, and the government did billions of business through it. While there were different types of food that were imported too at the same time.
The customers are always looking for something new and different types of food, as you cannot take the same food daily. For example, I can't eat the same burger for 3 consective days, so there must be lots of food variety. Exchanging food across the border helps you to experience numerous kinds of food, which attracts the consumers more than the food from their own country. This is because, the tongue will eventually gets bored of the same taste, and will look for something more delicious and tasty. This promotes the culture of different parts of world too.
In conclusion, countires should support the idea of bringing more and more food from different places, this may attract many consumers, and also be beneficial of the country's status and relationships around the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability positive, and you give two relevant reasons—stronger trade links and greater consumer choice. The examples about fish exports and trying different foods help address the question, and the conclusion returns to your view. This fully covers the task at a basic level, but the support is uneven: the trade paragraph makes broad claims about economic benefits without explaining how these gains reach people, while the food-variety point is more clearly illustrated but relies mainly on personal preference. To strengthen the response further, explain the benefits and any relevant limitations in more depth, and make the examples more precise and directly connected to your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from trade benefits to consumer choice is easy to follow, and phrases such as “For example” help signal support. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. “However” does not express a contrast in the trade paragraph, and “While there were different types of food that were imported too” is an incomplete, loosely connected thought. The conclusion also joins several ideas in one sentence, making the relationship between them less clear. Use linking words that accurately show the relationship between ideas, and make sure each sentence connects explicitly to the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related terms such as “import and export,” “trade relations,” and “food variety.” There are also attempts at more descriptive language, such as “strengthening trade relations” and “experience numerous kinds of food.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, including “did billions of business,” “the tongue will eventually gets bored,” and “beneficial of the country's status.” Spelling errors such as “postive,” “alot,” “consective,” and “countires” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural academic phrasing and check spelling carefully; varying repeated words such as “food” and “different” would also make the vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and subordinate clauses, as in “If countries are bringing food…” and “This is because…”. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “customers may visit … and bought” mixes verb forms, “the tongue will eventually gets bored” has incorrect agreement, and “While there were different types of food that were imported too” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence. There are also punctuation problems, such as the comma separating the subject from “earned” in “the country in which I live, earned.” Review verb patterns and clause boundaries, and edit each sentence to ensure it is complete and correctly punctuated.
