Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear at the start: you consider worldwide access to food and other products a positive development. You give relevant examples, including noodles being available internationally and the medical equipment your cousin needed. However, the response only partly develops the task: the discussion shifts from food to technology and medical machinery, so the connection to consumers buying food from around the world is not consistently maintained. Some claims, such as this development increasing a country’s economic power, are introduced without explanation. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and any possible drawbacks of international food availability, then develop each example directly in relation to the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organisation: you state your view, use “firstly” to introduce a reason, provide examples, and finish with a conclusion. The examples give the reader a general sense of your argument. However, progression is difficult to follow because ideas move abruptly from food to knowledge, medical equipment, dishwashers, and promoting local products. Connections between sentences are often unclear, and repeated phrases such as “many of things” do not show how one point leads to the next. Paragraphing also does not consistently separate distinct reasons. Group related ideas into focused paragraphs and use clear links to explain how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “development,” “products,” “economy,” and “promoting,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated or imprecise, such as “many of things” and “take access.” Frequent spelling errors—including “everythngs,” “machinary,” and “avilabla”—also make parts of the response harder to read. Some word combinations are unnatural, for example “increase our knowledge about many things” and “the economy power of country.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully so your ideas are communicated more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is sometimes recoverable. However, the range of structures is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent errors that can make the reader pause. For example, “I appreciate this technology because can access” lacks a clear subject, while “many of food that we use … are not made” has problems with articles, number, and agreement. Verb forms and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “it increase our knowledge” and the long sentence beginning “A few months ago, my czn was seriously ill.” Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence.
