Student answer (Band 5.0)

The world is developing day by day, so development in buying supermarkets food is also convenient for the people or consumers. It is convenient in a way that a consumer do not have to go on distant places to buy some food,he can buy it from the supermarket. For example, if you go on vacations in some other country and you don't know the exact location of any market or restaurant. We can buy some food or anything that we want from supermarket instead of searching for some specific market. We know that supermarkets are available on the main roads so it is much helpful for the tourists and also for the local people. This development is positive because we know that today is the era of technology and covenience, so people always try to find the method in which they find convinience. This developments makes consumer's work easier andit also saves their time. They don't have to go on far places and they can buy the same thing in the nearby areas. There is also many examples of how this development is positive for consumers? As I have given the example on above, we can also find it helpful in our daily life activities.I also want to expalin my experience about it that whenever I was short of food and I could not go on specific market I bought the food from the supermarket and this was always saved my time and effort on buying food.

In the last,I conclude that this development has positive affects on the consumers as well as on the society. It can also has some negative affects as we know every bright picture has its dark side but its benefits are more than its disadvantages. We should also try to impose this development in our country so our people or consumer do not have to go far away and face problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear overall position that access to internationally produced food is positive, and you give a personal example of buying food when you could not reach a specific market. However, the response only partly addresses the central issue: it focuses mainly on supermarket convenience and does not explain the significance of being able to buy food produced around the world. The tourism example is relevant to supermarket access, but it does not show why global food choice is beneficial. Your brief acknowledgement of disadvantages—“every bright picture has its dark side”—is not developed, and the conclusion introduces a recommendation without supporting it. Develop two or three task-specific reasons, such as year-round choice or access to foods unavailable locally, and explain each with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is an identifiable line of argument: you introduce convenience, give examples, state that the development is positive, and finish with a conclusion. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the stages of the argument are difficult to distinguish. Progression is also repetitive: the ideas that supermarkets save time and avoid distant journeys recur several times without adding much. Linking phrases such as “For example,” “This development is positive,” and “In the last” attempt to guide the reader, but some are awkward or do not create a clear relationship between ideas. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, developed reasons, and conclusion, and make each paragraph advance a distinct point rather than restating convenience.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic position, with relevant terms such as “consumers,” “supermarket,” “tourists,” and “society.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “convenient,” “development,” and “positive.” Some inaccurate or misspelled choices make the writing less clear, including “covenience,” “convinience,” “affects” where you mean effects, and “expalin.” Phrases such as “buying supermarkets food” and “bright picture has its dark side” are not natural in this context. Build a more precise vocabulary for the topic, including terms for imported food, product choice, availability, and local producers, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example the sentence beginning “For example, if you go on vacations…” However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms include “a consumer do not,” “This developments makes,” “There is also many examples,” and “this was always saved my time.” Articles, prepositions, and sentence boundaries also need attention: “from supermarket” and “In the last,I conclude” are examples, while several sentences run together without spaces after full stops. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms, and divide long sentences into shorter, correctly punctuated units.
