Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, this topic has become a subject of considerable debate. In many countries, consumers can go to a supermarket without any kind of threat and buy food produced all over the world. Due to the fact that every buyer has access to the supermarket, anywhere in the world no body can hinder us towards public markets. Another factor is that instead of small local markets people prefer supermarkets because there everything that is useful is available. For instance, in supermarket different brands like KFC, Desi Cuisine, Traditional food and five stars resturants are available for public.
From my perspective, this access towards market is positive development. Everyone has their own rights to go there and buy food. One positive factor is that when we crave we can go there without any kind of hesitation and threat. Not only for food we can move for wandering and shopping. Secondly, every person has thier own freedom to amuse and spend time together with friends and families in supermarkets.
One drawback is that children should not go there lonely because there can be theft and can harm to young children.
Relevant example is from my own knowledge is that I am living near Anarkali Lahore, one of the biggest market in my area and open 24/7 for public. Almost everything is available for public. Yesterday, I was go there and eat mutton, fish and icecream. Here Italiyan and jappanese food like Sushi is available for public. I would like to assert that, overall it is one of the positive development in the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear overall view—“this access towards market is positive development”—and give a personal example involving food available in Lahore. However, the response only partially addresses the actual issue: it focuses largely on freedom to visit supermarkets, shopping and spending time with family, rather than explaining whether access to food produced around the world is beneficial or harmful. The point about children being at risk is also not clearly connected to international food availability. Your example lists dishes and cuisines, but does not explain how global food choice affects consumers or local communities. To develop the response, keep the discussion centred on imported food and support your position with relevant reasons, such as greater choice, year-round availability, cost, or effects on local producers.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an identifiable opening, a paragraph stating your view, a drawback, and a personal example, so the reader can recognise a basic structure. You also use signposts such as “One positive factor,” “Secondly,” and “One drawback.” However, the progression is not consistently logical: the discussion shifts from global food to access to markets, leisure, child safety, and then a local market visit. Some links are unclear, including “Another factor” and “Relevant example,” which do not establish how the following point supports your argument. The ideas within paragraphs also lack clear development. Group related points together and use each paragraph to explain one relevant reason, followed by an example and a clear link to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “supermarket,” “local markets,” “brands,” and names of different cuisines, and your main meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “access towards market,” “when we crave,” and “go there lonely.” Spelling errors such as “resturants,” “thier,” “Italiyan,” and “jappanese” also reduce accuracy. Some wording is repetitive, particularly repeated references to what is “available for public.” Aim for more precise vocabulary about the task, such as imported products, consumer choice, food variety, and local producers. Check spelling and learn natural collocations so your ideas are expressed more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few longer structures, including “Due to the fact that…” and “Not only for food…,” but most sentences rely on simple patterns, and complex attempts are often inaccurate. Examples include “I was go there,” where the past-tense form is incorrect, and “one of the biggest market,” where the plural form is needed. There are also errors in articles and sentence construction, as in “positive development” and “Relevant example is from my own knowledge is that…”. These problems sometimes make the reader pause, although the general message can usually be understood. Practise forming accurate past-tense sentences and using articles and plural nouns, then build longer sentences around one clear main clause.
