Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent years, users can buy any type of food producing all over the world from any nearby supermarket. I believe this change is a positive development, because it is not just helping people to buy their favourite food in a convienent way but also creating a positive impact on the countries economy.

In this era, where people can get everything on their doorstep, this is the one more facility for people to get their favourite food from the nearby store or market without any hustle. For example, now a days people like a korean food so much and they always wanted to try it once atleast in their life, specially raymon noodle and hotpot. These foods were not available in other countries before and people often get this through expensive quoriers.

On the other hand, the availability of variety of foods from almost every country of the world also have beneficial impact on the countries economy. It is an advantage for both importing and exporting countries. For instance, when there is more demand of food, the supply will automatically increase. As we can see that korean food is liking much by everybody around the world, so this is a brilliant opportunity for korean resturants to increase their food chains in other countires of world. When new cafes and resturants will open in any country they will pay taxes which is beneficial for the government and when resturants get good response from public, their revenue will increase significantlly.

In conclusion, nowadays many countries from all over the world are introducing variety of food produced from other countries. In my opinion, this initiative is a positive development which helping countries to boost their economies and also creating better opportunities for businesses. People can buy their favourite food from any nearby superstore conveniently and can enjoy in their own homes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability positive, and the conclusion restates this view. You address two relevant benefits—convenience for consumers and economic opportunities—and support them with examples involving Korean food, restaurants, and tax revenue. This covers the task well overall. However, the economic explanation is more fully developed than the consumer benefit, which relies mainly on wanting to try Korean food and avoiding expensive delivery. The claim that demand automatically increases supply also needs qualification or explanation. To strengthen the response, develop the consumer benefit with a specific example and explain more carefully how international food sales benefit both exporting and importing countries.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and the conclusion summarises your position. The progression from consumer convenience to economic effects is easy to follow, and examples generally appear alongside the points they support. Some linking is effective, particularly “On the other hand” to introduce the second reason, although it suggests a contrast when both paragraphs support the same positive view; “Another benefit” would be more accurate. Connections within the economic paragraph sometimes feel mechanical, with repeated “when” clauses and “so.” Clearer links between cause and result, and more precise referencing, would make the progression smoother and more flexible.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “availability,” “importing and exporting,” “revenue,” and “beneficial,” and the reader can understand your main points. However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “food,” “people,” and “countries,” as well as several inaccurate or misspelled expressions. For example, “food producing” does not fit the intended meaning, and “food is liking much by everybody” is an unnatural way to describe popularity. Spelling errors such as “convienent,” “resturants,” and “significantlly” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing international trade and consumer choice, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “food produced from other countries” and conditional structures such as “when restaurants get good response … their revenue will increase.” These attempts help communicate your reasoning, but some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction remain. For example, “the availability … also have” needs a singular verb, while “which helping countries” is missing a finite verb. The sentence beginning “In this era, where people can get everything…” is also awkwardly constructed. Review subject–verb agreement and complete clause formation, then edit for articles and plural forms. More consistently accurate complex sentences would improve clarity.
