Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, in many countries food is exported in different countries and people can easily purchase from supermakets. In my opinion, this is a positive development because it provides greater varities and helps in improving the economic growth of a country.
Firstly, one major advantage of this is the wide range if varities for people. People do not need to depend on a specific type of food which grows in their own region, they can eat different cuisines. For example, a large number of individuals have moved abroad , eventually they miss their own foods , which they can easily buy from supermarkets now. Moreover, this helps people living in colder regions. As in many parts of the world cold weather remains all over the years, growing certain crops is not possible in this regions. Therefore, exported food will help them in maintaining their lifestyle properly.
Secondly, it plays a crucial role in the economic growth of the country. If people demand for food increased, it will create more employment opportunities. As farmers need to work in more land ,in order to produce such large amount of goods , the quantity of workers will also get increased. Additionally, people will have greater knowledge about different cultures and traditions.
All in all it can be concluded that exporting goods all over the world can significantly increase the economic growth of a country as it creates more job opportunities resulting in more income. Moreover, variety of foods also get increased, helping people living in unsuitable regions. In my view, this is definitely a positive development .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development. You address the question with relevant reasons, including greater choice, access for people in colder regions, and possible employment benefits. The example of people living abroad missing familiar foods helps illustrate the first point. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others. In particular, the link between increased demand for imported food and more work for local farmers is asserted rather than clearly demonstrated, and the point about learning about other cultures is added without support. To strengthen the response, explain how each reason follows from global food availability and develop one or two examples more specifically.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted with “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding summary. The main ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated transitions such as “Moreover,” “Additionally,” and “Therefore,” rather than links that show the precise relationship between ideas. Some connections are also unclear: the move from imported food to farmers working more land needs explanation, and the final paragraph repeats several points without adding much synthesis. Use referencing and linking phrases more selectively, and make the cause-and-effect links explicit to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main argument, including “economic growth,” “employment opportunities,” “colder regions,” and “cuisines.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “maintaining their lifestyle.” However, errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the wording less natural: “supermakets,” “varities,” “wide range if varities,” and “demand for food increased” are examples. “Exported in different countries” is also an imprecise expression for food sold internationally. Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “a wider variety of foods,” “food imported from other countries,” and “demand for food increases.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If people demand for food increased, it will create more employment opportunities” and a relative clause in “which they can easily buy from supermarkets now.” Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, the conditional mixes verb forms (“increased” with “will create”), and “in this regions” has a demonstrative–noun agreement error. There are also missing spaces after full stops and inconsistent comma use, as in “country. If” and “income.Moreover.” Aim to make the conditional consistent (“If demand increases, it will create…”) and proofread sentence boundaries, articles, and agreement. More accurate complex sentences would improve control.
