Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You clearly take a positive position, stating that access to food from around the world is a “positive development,” and you give several relevant supporting points, including product availability, affordability, storage, and payment options. However, the response only partially addresses the central issue: many points describe supermarkets generally rather than explaining the benefits or drawbacks of being able to buy food produced worldwide. The examples are also broad—for instance, “discounts everyday”—and the claim that supermarkets are less crowded is not explained or linked to international food access. Develop two or three directly relevant reasons, such as year-round access to seasonal foods or greater consumer choice, and support each with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify your overall position. You also use signposting such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude.” However, progression within the body paragraphs is weak: several separate points are joined together in long sentences, and the second paragraph begins “another factor worth mentioning” before shifting to storage, product quality, and payment methods without showing how these ideas connect to the question. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one clear reason, then explain and illustrate it, using references such as “this wider choice” to make connections clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “availability,” “affordable,” “storage,” and “payment methods,” and the general meaning is usually understandable. However, the range is limited by repeated use of broad terms such as “food products” and “supermarket,” while several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “available at overseas,” “great stroage,” and “pure and original.” Spelling errors such as “supermaket,” “upcomming,” and “hygenic” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the writing. Choose more precise language connected to the topic, such as “imported produce,” “international food selection,” and “food preservation,” and check spelling and natural word combinations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms and attempt to connect ideas with clauses, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles. For example, “customer can go to supermaket and can purchase food products are available at overseas” combines clauses incorrectly, while “supermarket may provides” has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, particularly where several claims are joined by commas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. For example: “Supermarkets offer imported foods that may not be available in local shops.”
