Student answer (Band 4.0)
In numerous countries today, individuals can go to a supermarket and purchase the food and manufacture all over the world.
People go to a supermarket and to collect something such as food. I think this is a positive development. because the reason is positive development that saves a numbers of problem can solve the people. If individuals go to a mart to buy something their mind set are relax due to fact that their body is in the exercise foam. Additionally, I remember that another reason are some people do not know how to improve their outside skill but they go market and buy some think so their brain are in better foam. For instance, they enhance their skill and better life style.
On the other hand, I would describe to talk about negative development. A person who has purchase food on online. so their are negative effect on it is that. their mind is not relaxed and also fall its stress because all the time lives at the home. Secondly, few person purchase local food so that has negative effect on it. because they bought food on online For instance, their heart, lungs and kidney may be effected. so avoid the online purchasing.
In conclusion, people go to a supermarket and buy food so that it has both positive and negative effect on peoples lives. some people go market to buy something but One the other hand, people buy needs on online so that can effect them in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a position—“I think this is a positive development”—and attempt to discuss both positive and negative effects. However, the response does not explain the central issue clearly: access to food produced around the world. Much of the positive paragraph shifts to exercise, relaxation, and improving “outside skill,” while the negative paragraph focuses on online purchasing and health effects. These points are not clearly connected to the availability of international food, and the examples do not support a developed argument about whether this development is positive or negative. The conclusion also presents both sides without resolving your stated positive position. To strengthen the response, give relevant reasons, such as greater choice or year-round access, and explain each with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting positive points, a paragraph on negative points, and a conclusion. You also use signposting such as “Additionally,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion,” which helps show intended stages. However, the ideas within paragraphs are difficult to follow because connections are unclear or contradictory. For example, the positive paragraph moves from supermarket shopping to exercise and then to “outside skill,” without explaining the links. The negative paragraph shifts from online shopping to local food and health effects. Repeated connectors such as “so” and “because” do not establish clear relationships, and the conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than summarising a consistent argument. Organise each paragraph around one relevant reason and explain it in sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary related to the topic, including “supermarket,” “purchase,” “local food,” and “negative effect,” and you attempt to express ideas about health and lifestyle. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations make the meaning unclear. Phrases such as “food and manufacture,” “exercise foam,” “outside skill,” and “better foam” do not communicate the intended meaning; “foam” appears to be an incorrect choice for “form.” There are also repeated general words such as “something,” “people,” and “effect,” which make the argument imprecise. Aim to use topic-specific terms accurately—for example, “imported food,” “consumer choice,” and “local producers”—and check collocations and spelling so that your intended points are easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “so that,” and the reader can identify the broad topic and your intended position. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. Examples include “their mind set are relax,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “another reason are,” which also has an agreement error. Several sentences are fragments or are joined incorrectly, such as “because the reason is positive development that saves a numbers of problem can solve the people” and “so their are negative effect on it is that.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also unreliable, particularly after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries.
