Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You clearly state a positive position and give two relevant reasons: convenience for consumers and employment opportunities. The examples about ready-to-eat food and food stalls in Pakistan help connect these points to real situations. However, the response only partially develops the task because it sometimes shifts from food available in supermarkets to food produced inside supermarkets or sold at stalls. This makes the central development less precise. Some claims, such as commercially prepared food being more economical and having better flavours, are asserted without explanation or a specific example. Clarify that the issue is access to food from different countries, then explain how this benefits consumers and businesses, with each reason supported by a more focused example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The main ideas are generally grouped by topic, and examples are introduced with phrases such as “For example” and “To illustrate further.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first paragraph moves from supermarket shopping to restaurants and then to people from different cities, without clearly showing how each point supports the argument. “In addition” also begins a point that is not fully connected to the preceding discussion. Use clearer topic sentences and make each example directly explain its paragraph’s main reason; avoid linking ideas with transitions alone when the relationship is not explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “revenue generation,” “ready-made food,” “customized food,” and “economical.” These choices show an attempt to discuss consumer benefits and employment. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “food,” “products,” and “people,” while several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, including “food produced from a supermarket,” “different gatheways,” and “commercially prepare food.” Spelling errors such as “enjoynig” and “buy” where “by” is intended also reduce precision. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions, such as “imported produce,” “international food products,” and “retail jobs,” and check collocations and spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors are frequent, and complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. Examples include “I firmly believes,” “food produced are available,” and “people frequently opens,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “people simply visit and buy the products of their own choice” joined to the preceding clause with a comma. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and use full stops or conjunctions to join complete clauses. More accurate control of these basic patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
