Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays peoples in many countries consume supermarket and more varieties of food. i think all countries develop more and increase your stall. it is a good thing or a bad thing that people can buy food from different countries. i will discuss both views ponts agres or disagree in next two body paragraphs.

on the other hand, many types of varities are available in all countries such as like fastfood.

all countries are developed in feature supermarket moreover, clothes brands, branded shoes and accessories. I think this is really good for all countries. people can enjoy different different food varieties like italian, indian and Chinese also. people can learn about other countries culture. for example, punjabi people like eat punjabi food. This is really good for all people. generation to generation more changes in all countries that can more facilities. consumer have more varieties of food like fastfood stalls are good selling for poor people's. it is good business for all needed persons.

Secondly, preservative food are very harmful for elder and younger people. i think preservative food cannot eat because this food is not healthy and good quality. imported food can more expensive. in many countries vegetables and fruits are not in good quality and more expensive. transportation food over distance can cause pollution. so mamy countries are not sale preservatives food only sale good quality and quantity food also affordable prices. so many workers people not use simple and delicious food like home made not eat fast food. local farmers may face more problems.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that the availability of food from different countries is a positive development. It offers consumers more choices, introduces them to different cultures and creates economic opportunities. Although there are some disadvantages, I believe that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks when international food trade is managed properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clearest in the conclusion: you consider international food availability positive because it offers choice, cultural exposure and economic opportunities. You also include relevant drawbacks, such as expense, pollution and difficulties for local farmers, so the response addresses both sides of the issue. However, the position is less clear in the introduction, where “i will discuss both views ponts agres or disagree” does not state your view directly. Several supporting points are also under-developed or unclear: the reference to fast-food stalls and poor people’s business is not explained, and the claim about preservatives is not clearly connected to imported food. Develop fewer points with specific explanations or examples, and make your positive position explicit from the beginning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the second body paragraph generally shifts to disadvantages. This gives it some basic organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several different ideas are placed together without clear links. For example, the first body paragraph moves from fast food to clothing brands, cultural learning, Punjabi food and business opportunities. The opening phrase “on the other hand” also does not clearly signal the relationship between the introduction and the paragraph’s positive points. Use topic sentences that identify each paragraph’s main purpose, group related supporting details, and connect them with accurate, varied transitions. Clearer referencing would also help readers see how each example supports your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “consumers,” “imported food,” “transportation,” “local farmers” and “economic opportunities.” These terms help communicate the general subject, and the conclusion expresses the main benefits clearly. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, as in “different different food varieties,” “more varieties” and “good thing.” Some phrases make the intended meaning difficult to identify, such as “increase your stall,” “developed in feature supermarket” and “preservative food.” Spelling errors such as “varities,” “mamy” and “agres” also reduce clarity. Build a more accurate range of food-trade vocabulary and check spelling; choose precise expressions such as “a wider selection,” “processed food containing preservatives” and “expand their businesses.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, and the conclusion uses a clear conditional structure: “when international food trade is managed properly.” However, control of sentence structure is inconsistent, and errors frequently make ideas harder to understand. Examples include “Nowadays peoples in many countries consume supermarket,” “people can learn about other countries culture,” and “transportation food over distance can cause pollution.” There are also problems with agreement and verb forms, as in “preservative food are” and “people like eat.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly the repeated lowercase “i” and sentence openings. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add clauses using “because,” “although” or “which.” Check articles, plurals and verb patterns when editing.
