Student answer (Band 5.0)
Most of the countries nowadays, consumer can go to a supermarket and buy food which is produced all over the globe. In my opinion, i think it is a positive development because the public can get the access of all the nutrition
foods and varieties.
On the one hand, nowadays consumers need a wide range of food for their daily lives as it provides rich nutrition. Also world wide food products can be beneficial for health compared to domestic foods. For example in Bangladesh, people became ill due to a disease has been spread in the food products but, after eating other countries food people recovered successfully from illnesses. As a result, the public can live longer and enjoy a better healthy lifestyle.
On the other hand, people may suffer from different diseases because of lack in healthy food. There are some countries who provide chemical mixture foods such as formalin and other chemicals. These chemicals kiils the nutrients of the food and it is also harmful for the health. For example, in Zimbabwe a few people died because of eating unhealthy food and formalin based food until they received healthy food from other nearby countries. Thus, people may suffer from many health diseases in their own country due to consuming unhealthy domestic food.
From my perspective, i believe that producing food to all other countries is a positive development because it can offer the public a variety of food and it can provide healthy food with a peaceful life

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall view—that access to food from other countries is positive—and give reasons related to nutrition and health, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the support is limited and some claims are unclear or insufficiently explained. For instance, the Bangladesh and Zimbabwe examples assert that imported food helped people recover or avoid deaths, but do not explain the circumstances or provide convincing detail. The discussion also focuses mainly on health and does not develop other possible benefits or drawbacks of global food access. The response is 242 words, eight words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop your position and examples. Explain each reason more fully and ensure the response meets the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted with “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a concluding statement. This helps readers identify the main sections. However, the progression between ideas is not always clear. The second body paragraph appears to present a counterargument, but its final sentence returns to the harm caused by domestic food without clearly connecting this to the benefits of imported food. Linking phrases such as “As a result” and “Thus” are used, but the relationships they signal are sometimes asserted rather than explained. The conclusion repeats the position without drawing the reasons together. Organise each paragraph around one clear point and use references and transitions that show how the examples support it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general argument, including “nutrition,” “chemical,” “illnesses,” and “domestic foods.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “a wide range of food” and “healthy lifestyle.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations sound unnatural or obscure meaning, including “get the access of all the nutrition foods,” “world wide food products,” and “formal[in] based food.” The spelling error “kiils” also affects accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and avoid repeating broad terms such as “food” and “healthy.” For example, distinguish imported products from locally produced food, and describe the particular nutritional or safety benefits you mean.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “as,” and “until,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction and in the more ambitious clauses. Examples include “Most of the countries nowadays, consumer can,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “a disease has been spread,” where the verb form is faulty. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “lack in healthy food” and the comma before “but” in the Bangladesh example. Capitalise “I” consistently. Build accuracy first with clear subject–verb patterns, then check each longer sentence for tense, agreement, articles, and punctuation.
