Student answer (Band 5.5)
In numerous countries these days, food produced all over the world available in supermarket and purchasers can buy it from here. From my perspective, it is positive development.
First of all, I would like to give some reasons that why it is positive development and how all this is happened. well, as we know, this age is modern age of science and technology. Science and technology have revolutionized the world. Moreover, these fields not only make progress in communication and transportation however, it also facilitates us by providind food more easily and faster. These days we can go to market and can buy food produced all over the world. Furthermore, we can also taste the foods all over the world. This is possible due to we can produce food regardless of season and it becomes faster to grow food and vegetables by using modern methods of technology. It is very convenient to those buyers who can't produce food by their own. Additionally, the reasons may be that they may not have enough land to produce them or lack of favourable climate which is necessary for the growth of food. Consequently, now they have only to go to supermarket and purchase all type of food which they need. In contrast, there may be some disadvantages also such as the food which is grown in very short period of time and produced by new methods may have less nutrition than food produced by pure organic method.
In conclusion, by comparing pros and cons of it, we see a result that it is positive development. It also give us chance to taste food produced all over the world than only eating our hometown's food to which sometimes we feels bored.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development, and you return to this view in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including convenience for people without suitable land or climate and the opportunity to taste food from other countries. You also acknowledge a possible drawback concerning nutrition, which helps address the issue with some balance. However, several points are asserted rather than explained: the claim that technology makes food grow faster, for example, needs a clearer link to the availability of imported products. The nutritional concern is also left undeveloped, and the conclusion mainly repeats the benefits. Develop fewer points with specific explanation or an example to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction states your view, the main paragraph presents reasons and a counterpoint, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “In contrast” help signal relationships between ideas. However, the main paragraph contains many points in one long sequence, so the progression is not always easy to follow; the shift from technology to convenience, then to nutrition, could be organised more clearly. Some transitions feel mechanical, and “First of all” promises a sequence that is not clearly developed. Use separate paragraphs for the main benefits and the drawback, and make each paragraph’s central idea explicit. This would improve the flow and make connections between claims clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “favourable climate,” “transportation,” “nutrition,” and “organic method,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There is also some attempt to use less common language, such as “revolutionized” and “regardless of season.” However, word choice and collocation are often awkward or repetitive: “all type of food,” “produce food by their own,” and “taste the foods all over the world” do not sound natural in this context. “Modern age of science and technology” also repeats a broad idea rather than expressing it precisely. Build a more accurate range for discussing global food supply, such as imports, availability, seasonal produce, and consumer choice, and check common word partnerships.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “who,” and you use some subordination to explain reasons. Meaning is usually recoverable, but errors occur across sentence structures and agreement. For example, “food produced all over the world available” is missing a verb, while “it also give us chance” has agreement and article problems. In “this is possible due to we can produce food,” the clause after “due to” is not formed correctly; use “because we can…” instead. There are also errors in “they may not have enough land … or lack of favourable climate” and “we sometimes feels bored.” Review articles, subject–verb agreement, and clause construction, then proofread each sentence. More accurate complex sentences would strengthen your control.
