Student answer (Band 6.0)
The globalization has a vast impact to all the nations nowadays, wherein the society experienced convience in all aspect through the advancement of technologies. In many countries in recent years, consumers can purchase variety of food manufactured all over the world to any supermarket. I strongly believe that this is a positive development of the world.
On the one hand, people can buy food in their country without the need to travel to another country to explore the local food. For instance, if Filipinos crave Taiwanese food, they do not need to literally travel to Taiwan just to taste their local food. It will be more convenient to purchase it in the Philippines, and satisfy their cravings. As a result, it will be easier for the people to learn more about other nation's dishesa and food if they can purchase it anywhere.
On the other hand, consumers can experience the variety of culture not only to the Asian countries, but to the other countries from all around the world with the budget they have. For example, traveling to another country to try their local food is hassle and needed much money. If people have the access to all the variety of food produced all over the world, they can save money and time while enjoying the purchased food. As a result, they can try to eat more variation of food without spending too much money and time.
In conclusion, the accessibility and availabilty of the food manufactured all over the world are positive developments of the countries. It makes the people and consumer live with convenience. It is also a big proof that the globalization we are experiencing has a good effect in each individual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development, and the conclusion restates this view. The response addresses the question with relevant benefits, especially convenience and the chance to try international dishes without the expense of travel. The Filipino–Taiwanese example helps illustrate the first point. However, the two body paragraphs largely repeat the same benefit—access to other cuisines while saving time and money—so the discussion is not fully developed. The claim that people can “learn more about other nation's dishes” could be explained further, and another distinct consequence, such as greater consumer choice or support for food producers, would broaden the argument. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation of its wider impact.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted with “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The examples and result statements generally make the line of reasoning easy to follow. However, the two body paragraphs are not strongly contrasted; both focus on convenience and avoiding travel costs, which makes progression feel repetitive rather than cumulative. Some linking phrases, including “As a result,” are used mechanically, and the reference in “It makes the people and consumer live with convenience” is not fully clear. To improve, give each paragraph a distinct central idea and use transitions that show the relationship between claims, examples, and consequences rather than relying on repeated formulaic links.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “globalization,” “consumers,” “variety,” “local food,” and “accessibility,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “positive development” and “availability.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision: “manufactured” is not the natural verb for food in this context, “experience the variety of culture” is unclear, and “traveling … is hassle” is not idiomatic. Spelling errors such as “convience” and “availabilty,” along with the accidental “dishesa,” also weaken control. Build a bank of natural collocations for food and consumer choice, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response includes both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, for example the conditional “if Filipinos crave Taiwanese food” and the clause beginning “if people have the access…”. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. The opening sentence has an unclear construction (“The globalization has a vast impact to all the nations… wherein the society experienced…”), and article and number choices are inconsistent in phrases such as “purchase variety of food” and “the people and consumer.” There are also problems with sentence construction in “traveling to another country to try their local food is hassle and needed much money.” Practise building accurate clauses with articles, plural nouns, and consistent verb forms, then check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
