Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent days, coustomers can buy food which is produced all over the world in different countries. I believe that, it is a positive trend becasue it provides wide range of options along with it promotes cultural values. this essay will examine the adverse effects of this trend along which my opinion.

This is a positive view, because with this trend every individual may have the opportunity to choose from a wide verity of food from the golbe, in other words, there are many food types such as weath, rice, and tea these food and drink items can only grow in a specific region like india, bangladesh, because of globlization it is now possible to eat in every nation. For example, many indian students are studing in overseas universities, most of them prefer to eat indian food they can easily access their home country food, since they have choice because of globlization. Hence, this trend helps them to choose according to thier needs.

Other factor of this trend is cultural exchange, as people can be aware of different tastes which are existing in many other countries. To presice it in clear words, it is now becoming a common belief that cultural exchange is neccessary, so that people can get knowledge regarding different cusiens,

for instance, it is now possible to eat everything from home even without going other country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear positive position, and the examples about international students accessing familiar food and people learning about other cuisines are relevant to the question. However, the response only partially develops the argument: the first main point is explained at some length, while the cultural-exchange point is brief and ends without showing its wider benefit. The introduction also promises to examine “adverse effects,” but the essay does not discuss any, which makes the response’s direction less consistent. The required minimum of 250 words is not met; this limits the opportunity to develop and support your ideas. To strengthen the response, keep the introduction aligned with your positive position and extend each reason with a clearer explanation or specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction followed by two paragraphs presenting reasons for your view. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “Hence,” and “Other factor” help signal examples and a new point. However, progression is not always clear: the introduction says the essay will examine adverse effects, but the body presents only positive arguments. Some connections are also awkward or repetitive, particularly the repeated references to globalization and choice in the first body paragraph. The final paragraph ends abruptly rather than drawing the point together. Use a consistent plan, make each paragraph develop one distinct reason, and finish with a brief conclusion that restates your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “cultural exchange,” “specific region,” and “access,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, such as “coustomers,” “wide verity,” “golbe,” and “cusiens.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, including “eat in every nation” and “everything from home.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build accuracy by checking spelling carefully and learning common collocations for food and international trade. More precise terms, such as “a wide variety of cuisines” and “food imported from other countries,” would make the argument clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason-and-example structure beginning “because with this trend…” and a sentence using “since.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often not controlled accurately. For example, “I believe that, it is a positive trend” has faulty punctuation, while “This is a positive view, because…” uses an awkward clause connection. There are also errors with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “provides wide range” and the lowercase “this essay” after a full stop. Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, and proofread for articles, punctuation, and complete sentence structure.
