Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent times, customers can simply walk to any supermarket and get food that produced globally. I definetly think it is a positive sign of development because of its availability in our surroundings.

Various types of food are now available in our nearby supermarkets. A wide availability of global food make us to know the flauors and dishes of different positions of the world. Not everyone can go the place to taste the food that experience can be made at supermarket. For example, Ramen is the authentic dish of Burma. Initially that is limited to a place later, it is available in each corner of a supermarket. These availability made us to to exchange various dishes to different places of the world.

In India, Paddy is mainly cultivated in two telugu states but consumed at every corner. Crop that cultivated and transported can additionaly increase the income of individuals. Apple from kashmir shipped to various countries. By generating the additional revenue to farmer and spread the pride of a country. In the name of exports government additionally benifited with taxes. Cultivated crops or prepared food can be exported after paying taxes by which government is benifited for that. For example, Haleem is a famous dish which availability is limited to 40 days in a year. Restaurent owners pay additional taxes to setup for the dish. Also it is transported globally where government is proffited by laying taxes on it.

I conclude, that availability of various foods at our nearby supermarkets results the positive sign of development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development, and you give relevant reasons involving cultural exchange and income for farmers and governments. The examples of ramen, paddy and haleem help connect the discussion to specific foods. However, the ideas are only partly developed. The ramen example is confusing because it is described as a dish from Burma, but the link between its availability and exchanging dishes is not fully explained. The economic point also shifts between exports, taxes and restaurant owners without clearly showing how supermarket access benefits consumers or producers. To strengthen the response, explain each reason step by step and make the connection to the question explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate cultural and economic benefits. This gives the reader a general sense of the argument. However, progression within the body paragraphs is uneven, and some links between sentences are unclear. For example, the discussion moves from paddy cultivation to apples and then haleem, while the relationship between these examples and the main point is not consistently signposted. Phrases such as “By generating the additional revenue” form an incomplete link to the preceding sentence. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one main point at a time, and use referencing and transitions to show how each example supports that point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “cultivated,” “transported,” “exports,” “revenue” and “availability,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “food that produced globally,” “different positions of the world,” and “government is proffited by laying taxes.” Spelling errors such as “definetly,” “flauors,” “benifited” and “Restaurent” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing international food trade and cultural exchange, and check spelling and common word combinations. Prefer natural phrases such as “food produced around the world” and “generate tax revenue” to awkward constructions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning can usually be understood. However, control is inconsistent, with frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles. For instance, “food that produced globally” is missing a verb form, while “A wide availability … make us” has a subject–verb agreement problem. “These availability made us to to exchange” contains errors in number, tense and verb pattern, and “Crop that cultivated and transported can additionaly increase” is structurally incomplete. Some sentences also lack a clear grammatical connection, as in “By generating the additional revenue to farmer and spread the pride of a country.” Practise complete clauses and check agreement, articles and verb patterns when editing.
