Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays in many nations buyer can purchase food produced in all over the world which i belive is a positive sign.

Earlier people who studying abroad or working in another countries far away from there home where one of them who really miss foods which they like but unfortunately it was not available in the country where they have moved. But recently due to low export and impport charges and conviniece of transport people are getting things which they were buying in there native country. Which i believe also help to grow business.

Therefore, I remember on of my friend who moved to England in 2001. Before he move we used to eat Parle-G biscuit a lot, which we can get easily from any store in India but when he move to England at that time in 2001 it was literally very difficult to get that biscuit in any store in England because they were not keeping Indian produced foods. But later by the time in 2015 it gradually started getting available and my friend share the feeling after buying that biscuit. This shows People staying in another country wants to eat something or taste which belongs to there native country.

Although, People now can easily get foods of there own country anywhere in the world and can feel good by the taste of the food.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear positive view in the opening and give a relevant example about your friend finding Parle-G biscuits in England. This supports the idea that imported food can help people living abroad reconnect with familiar tastes. However, the response addresses the question only partially: the benefits are not explored in enough depth, and the final paragraph repeats the point about access to familiar food rather than adding a distinct reason or considering any drawbacks. The claim that lower charges and convenient transport help business is also mentioned but not explained. The response is 24 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasons and examples. Extend the discussion with another specific benefit and explain its effects.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the opening gives your position, the next paragraph introduces a general reason, and the following paragraph provides a personal example. The example is relevant, and linking expressions such as “Therefore” and “Although” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear. “Therefore” does not accurately express the relationship between the preceding point and the anecdote, while the final “Although” clause is not followed by a contrasting idea, leaving the ending incomplete in its logic. The final paragraph also repeats an earlier point. Use a clearer sequence—position, separate supporting reasons, example, and conclusion—and make sure each linking word reflects the relationship between the ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “export and import charges,” “transport,” “native country,” and “produced foods,” and the reader can generally understand your main point. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate, which makes the writing less clear and natural. Examples include “conviniece,” “impport,” and “share the feeling”; the last phrase does not express the intended meaning idiomatically. “Foods” is also repeated frequently where “food” or “familiar dishes” would be more natural. Build a wider set of precise expressions for discussing international food trade and cultural familiarity, and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would help you express the same ideas more fluently and accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a relative clause in “a friend who moved to England” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “people who studying abroad” is missing a verb form, “Before he move” has an incorrect tense, and “people are getting things … Which i believe also help” contains an unclear sentence boundary and subject–verb agreement error. Articles, plurals, and prepositions also need attention, as in “in another countries” and “produced in all over the world.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check verb tense and agreement.
